ती मानिसहरू जसले पावललाई प्रश्नहरू गर्न तयार भइरहेका थिए, पावललाई छाच्डे गए। सेनापति डराई रहेका थिए किनभने उसले पावललाई अघिबाटै बाँधिसकेको थियो अनि पावल एक रोमी नागरिक थिए।

Then straightway they departed from him which should have examined him: and the chief captain also was afraid, after he knew that he was a Roman, and because he had bound him.
