The Holy Bible in Nine Indian Languages

Christ Songs .ORG is a free online library of the complete Holy Bible in nine Indian languages, for readers at home in India and among the millions of the diaspora abroad. Each language carries the full sixty-six books, verse by verse, with English comparison, cross references, Strong's concordance links and a fullscreen presentation mode for churches and study groups.

For a family in Kochi, a nurse in the Gulf, a student in Toronto and a grandmother in Kolkata, the same chapter of Scripture can be read tonight in the language each of them dreams in. Indian-language Christianity is old — Kerala's Saint Thomas Christians trace their faith to the first century — and today it is also one of the most widely scattered communities on earth. This edition gathers nine of those languages in one place.

Each Bible is complete and unabridged: sixty-six books, Genesis to Revelation, more than thirty-one thousand verses, in the language's own script. Alongside every verse you will find English translations to compare, cross references that trace a theme through the whole of Scripture, and links into the original Hebrew and Greek — the same tools a pastor or teacher reaches for, free to anyone.

About this project

Christ Songs began as a way to keep Indian-language Scripture within reach of communities scattered far from home. Language ties a diaspora to its faith, and a Bible that reads naturally is part of holding onto both.

Everything here is free and needs no account. Readers inside India may prefer the India edition, tuned for local fonts and speed, at christsongs.in.
