மத்தேயு 19:3
அப்பொழுது, பரிசேயர் அவரைச் சோதிக்கவேண்டுமென்று அவரிடத்தில் வந்து: புருஷனானவன் தன் மனைவியை எந்த முகாந்தரதினாலாகிலும் தள்ளிவிடுவது நியாயமா என்று கேட்டார்கள்.

அப்பொழுது, பரிசேயர்கள் அவரைச் சோதிக்கவேண்டுமென்று அவரிடத்தில் வந்து: கணவனானவன் தன் மனைவியை எந்தக்காரணத்தினாலாவது விவாகரத்து செய்வது நியாயமா என்று கேட்டார்கள்.

இயேசுவிடம் வந்த பரிசேயர்கள் சிலர் இயேசுவைத் தவறாக ஏதேனும் சொல்ல வைக்க முயன்றனர். அவர்கள் இயேசுவை நோக்கி, “ஏதேனும் ஒரு காரணத்திற்காகத் தன் மனைவியை விவாகரத்து செய்வது சரியானதா?” என்று கேட்டனர்.
