Genesis 46
1 ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਤਸੱਲੀ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੇ ਮਿਸਰ ਵੱਲ ਆਪਣਾ ਸਫ਼ਰ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤਾ। ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹਰ ਕੋਈ ਬਏਰਸਬਾ ਪਹੁੰਚਿਆ। ਉੱਥੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਇਸਹਾਕ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਈਆਂ।
2 ਰਾਤ ਵੇਲੇ, ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਪਨੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੱਲ ਕੀਤੀ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਯਾਕੂਬ, ਯਾਕੂਬ।” ਅਤੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੇ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “ਮੈਂ ਇੱਥੇ ਹਾਂ।”
3 ਫ਼ੇਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹਾਂ, ਤੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ। ਮਿਸਰ ਜਾਣ ਤੋਂ ਨਾ ਡਰ। ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਮਹਾਨ ਕੌਮ ਬਣਾ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ।
4 ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਸਰ ਜਾਵਾਂਗਾ। ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਵਾਰ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੱਢ ਲਿਆਵਾਂਗਾ। ਤੇਰੀ ਮੌਤ ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ, ਪਰ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੂੰ ਮਰੇਂਗਾ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਤੇਰੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਬੰਦ ਕਰੇਗਾ।”
1 And Israel took his journey with all that he had, and came to Beer-sheba, and offered sacrifices unto the God of his father Isaac.
2 And God spake unto Israel in the visions of the night, and said, Jacob, Jacob. And he said, Here am I.
3 And he said, I am God, the God of thy father: fear not to go down into Egypt; for I will there make of thee a great nation:
4 I will go down with thee into Egypt; and I will also surely bring thee up again: and Joseph shall put his hand upon thine eyes.

1 ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਤਸੱਲੀ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੇ ਮਿਸਰ ਵੱਲ ਆਪਣਾ ਸਫ਼ਰ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤਾ। ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹਰ ਕੋਈ ਬਏਰਸਬਾ ਪਹੁੰਚਿਆ। ਉੱਥੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਇਸਹਾਕ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਈਆਂ।

And God spake unto Israel in the visions of the night, and said, Jacob, Jacob. And he said, Here am I.
3 ਫ਼ੇਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹਾਂ, ਤੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ। ਮਿਸਰ ਜਾਣ ਤੋਂ ਨਾ ਡਰ। ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਮਹਾਨ ਕੌਮ ਬਣਾ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ।
And he said, I am God, the God of thy father: fear not to go down into Egypt; for I will there make of thee a great nation:
4 ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਸਰ ਜਾਵਾਂਗਾ। ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਵਾਰ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੱਢ ਲਿਆਵਾਂਗਾ। ਤੇਰੀ ਮੌਤ ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ, ਪਰ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੂੰ ਮਰੇਂਗਾ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਤੇਰੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਬੰਦ ਕਰੇਗਾ।”
I will go down with thee into Egypt; and I will also surely bring thee up again: and Joseph shall put his hand upon thine eyes.
