ଅରାମୀଯ ଲୋକମାନେ ଦମ୍ମେଶକରୁ ହଦ ରଷେରଙ୍କୁ ସାହାୟ୍ଯ କରିବାକୁ ଆସିଲେ। ମାତ୍ର ସହେି ଅରାମୀଯର 22,000 ସୈନ୍ଯଙ୍କୁ ଦାଉଦ ମାରି ଦେଲେ।

ଦାଉଦ ଆହୁରି ମଧ୍ଯ ହଦ ରଷେରଙ୍କ ସୈନ୍ଯବାହିନୀ ସହିତ ୟୁଦ୍ଧ କଲେ। ହଦ ରଷେର ସୋବର ରାଜା ଥିଲେ। ଦାଉଦ ହମାତ ସହର ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ପଥରେ ସହେି ସୈନ୍ଯବାହିନୀ ସହିତ ୟୁଦ୍ଧ କଲେ। ହଦ ରଷେର ଫରାତ୍ ନଦୀ ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ତାହାଙ୍କ ରାଜ୍ଯ ବିସ୍ତାର କରିବାକୁ ଚେଷ୍ଟା କରିବାରୁ ଦାଉଦ ଏହିପରି କଲେ।
ଯିଶାଇୟ 8:9
ହେ ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀସମୂହ, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ୟୁଦ୍ଧ ପାଇଁ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ ହୁଅ, ମାତ୍ର ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ପରାସ୍ତ ହବେ। ହେ ଦୂର ଦେଶୀଯ ଲୋକମାନେ, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଧ୍ଯାନପୂର୍ବକ ଶୁଣ। ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ୟୁଦ୍ଧପାଇଁ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ ହେଲବେି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ପରାଜିତ ହବେ।
