1 அப்பொழுது, அவர் படவில் ஏறி, இக்கரைப்பட்டுத் தம்முடைய பட்டணத்திற்கு வந்தார். And he entered into a ship, and passed over, and came into his own city.

2 அங்கே படுக்கையிலே கிடந்த ஒரு திமிர்வாதக்காரனை அவரிடத்தில் கொண்டுவந்தார்கள். இயேசு அவர்களுடைய விசுவாசத்தைக் கண்டு, திமிர்வாதக்காரனை நோக்கி: மகனே, திடன்கொள், உன் பாவங்கள் உனக்கு மன்னிக்கப்பட்டது என்றார். And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee.

3 அப்பொழுது, வேதபாரகரில் சிலர்: இவன் தேவதூஷணம் சொல்லுகிறான் என்று தங்கள் உள்ளத்தில் சொல்லிக்கொண்டார்கள். And, behold, certain of the scribes said within themselves, This man blasphemeth.

4 இயேசு அவர்கள் நினைவுகளை அறிந்து: நீங்கள் உங்கள் இருதயங்களில் பொல்லாதவைகளைச் சிந்திக்கிறதென்ன? And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts?

5 உன் பாவங்கள் மன்னிக்கப்பட்டது என்று சொல்வதோ, எழுந்து நடவென்று சொல்வதோ எது எளிது? For whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and walk?

6 பூமியிலே பாவங்களை மன்னிக்க மனுஷகுமாரனுக்கு அதிகாரம் உண்டென்பதை நீங்கள் அறியவேண்டும் என்று சொல்லி, திமிர்வாதக்காரனை நோக்கி: நீ எழுந்து உன் படுக்கையை எடுத்துக்கொண்டு, உன் வீட்டுக்குப் போ என்றார். But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house.

7 உடனே அவன் எழுந்து, தன் வீட்டுக்குப்போனான். And he arose, and departed to his house.

8 ஜனங்கள் அதைக்கண்டு ஆச்சரியப்பட்டு, மனுஷருக்கு இப்படிப்பட்ட அதிகாரத்தைக் கொடுத்தவராகிய தேவனை மகிமைப்படுத்தினார்கள். But when the multitudes saw it, they marvelled, and glorified God, which had given such power unto men.

9 இயேசு அவ்விடம் விட்டுப் புறப்பட்டுப்போகையில், ஆயத்துறையில் உட்கார்ந்திருந்த மத்தேயு என்னும் ஒரு மனுஷனைக்கண்டு: எனக்குப் பின்சென்றுவா என்றார்; அவன் எழுந்து அவருக்குப் பின்சென்றான். And as Jesus passed forth from thence, he saw a man, named Matthew, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he saith unto him, Follow me. And he arose, and followed him.

10 பின்பு அவர் வீட்டிலே போஜனபந்தியிருக்கையில், அநேக ஆயக்காரரும் பாவிகளும் வந்து, இயேசுவோடும் அவர் சீஷரோடுங்கூடப் பந்தியிருந்தார்கள். And it came to pass, as Jesus sat at meat in the house, behold, many publicans and sinners came and sat down with him and his disciples.

11 பரிசேயர் அதைக்கண்டு, அவருடைய சீஷர்களை நோக்கி: உங்கள் போதகர் ஆயக்காரரோடும் பாவிகளோடும் போஜனம் பண்ணுகிறதென்னவென்று கேட்டார்கள். And when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto his disciples, Why eateth your Master with publicans and sinners?

12 இயேசு அதைக்கேட்டு: பிணியாளிகளுக்கு வைத்தியன் வேண்டியதேயல்லாமல் சுகமுள்ளவர்களுக்கு வேண்டியதில்லை. But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.

13 பலியையல்ல, இரக்கத்தையே விரும்புகிறேன் என்பதின் கருத்து இன்னதென்று போய்க் கற்றுகொள்ளுங்கள்; நீதிமான்களையல்ல, பாவிகளையே மனந்திரும்புகிறதற்கு அழைக்க வந்தேன் என்றார். But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

14 அப்பொழுது, யோவானுடைய சீஷர் அவரிடத்தில் வந்து: நாங்களும் பரிசேயரும் அநேகந்தரம் உபவாசிக்கிறோமே; உம்முடைய சீஷர் உபவாசியாமலிருக்கிறதென்னவென்று கேட்டார்கள். Then came to him the disciples of John, saying, Why do we and the Pharisees fast oft, but thy disciples fast not?

15 அதற்கு இயேசு: மணவாளன் தங்களோடிருக்கையில் மணவாளனுடைய தோழர் துயரப்படுவார்களா? மணவாளன் அவர்களை விட்டு எடுபடும் நாட்கள் வரும், அப்பொழுது உபவாசிப்பார்கள். And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? but the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, and then shall they fast.

16 ஒருவன் கோடித்துண்டைப் பழைய வஸ்திரத்தோடே இணைக்கமாட்டான் இணைத்தால், அதினோடே இணைத்த துண்டு வஸ்திரத்தைக் கிழிக்கும், பீறலும் அதிகமாகும். No man putteth a piece of new cloth unto an old garment, for that which is put in to fill it up taketh from the garment, and the rent is made worse.

17 புது திராட்சரசத்தை பழந்துருத்திகளில் வார்த்துவைக்கிறதுமில்லை; வார்த்துவைத்தால், துருத்திகள் கிழிந்துபோம், இரசமும் சிந்திப்போம், துருத்திகளும் கெட்டுப்போம்; புது ரசத்தைப் புது துருத்திகளில் வார்த்துவைப்பார்கள்; அப்பொழுது இரண்டும் பத்திரப்பட்டிருக்கும் என்றார். Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved.

18 அவர் இவைகளை அவர்களுக்குச் சொல்லிக்கொண்டிருக்கையில், தலைவன் ஒருவன் வந்து அவரைப்பணிந்து: என் மகள் இப்பொழுதுதான் மரித்துப்போனாள்; ஆகிலும் நீர் வந்து அவள்மேல் உமது கையை வையும், அப்பொழுது பிழைப்பாள் என்றான். While he spake these things unto them, behold, there came a certain ruler, and worshipped him, saying, My daughter is even now dead: but come and lay thy hand upon her, and she shall live.

19 இயேசு எழுந்து, தம்முடைய சீஷரோடுங்கூட அவன் பின்னே போனார். And Jesus arose, and followed him, and so did his disciples.

20 அப்பொழுது, பன்னிரண்டு வருஷமாய்ப் பெரும்பாடுள்ள ஸ்திரீ: And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment:

21 நான் அவருடைய வஸ்திரத்தையாகிலும் தொட்டால் சொஸ்தமாவேன் என்று தன் உள்ளத்தில் எண்ணிக்கொண்டு, அவர் பின்னாலே வந்து, அவருடைய வஸ்திரத்தின் ஓரத்தைத் தொட்டாள். For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole.

22 இயேசு திரும்பி, அவளைப் பார்த்து: மகளே, திடன் கொள், உன் விசுவாசம் உன்னை இரட்சித்தது என்றார். அந்நேரம்முதல் அந்த ஸ்திரீ சொஸ்தமானாள். But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.

23 இயேசுவானவர் தலைவனுடைய வீட்டிலே வந்து, தாரை ஊதுகிறவர்களையும், இரைகிற ஜனங்களையும் கண்டு: And when Jesus came into the ruler's house, and saw the minstrels and the people making a noise,

24 விலகுங்கள், இந்தச் சிறுபெண் மரிக்கவில்லை, நித்திரையாயிருக்கிறாள் என்றார். அதற்காக அவரைப்பார்த்து நகைத்தார்கள். He said unto them, Give place: for the maid is not dead, but sleepeth. And they laughed him to scorn.

25 ஜனங்கள் வெளியே துரத்தப்பட்டபின்பு, அவர் உள்ளே பிரவேசித்து அந்தச் சிறுபெண்ணின் கையைப்பிடித்தார்; உடனே அவள் எழுந்திருந்தாள். But when the people were put forth, he went in, and took her by the hand, and the maid arose.

26 இந்தச் சங்கதி அத்தேசமெங்கும் பிரசித்தமாயிற்று. And the fame hereof went abroad into all that land.

27 இயேசு அவ்விடம் விட்டுப் போகையில், இரண்டு குருடர் அவர் பின்னே சென்று: தாவீதின் குமாரனே, எங்களுக்கு இரங்கும் என்று கூப்பிட்டார்கள். And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying, and saying, Thou son of David, have mercy on us.

28 அவர் வீட்டிற்கு வந்தபின்பு, அந்தக் குருடர் அவரிடத்தில் வந்தார்கள். இயேசு அவர்களை நோக்கி: இதைச் செய்ய எனக்கு வல்லமை உண்டென்று விசுவாசிக்கிறீர்களா என்று கேட்டார்; அதற்கு அவர்கள்: ஆம் விசுவாசிக்கிறோம், ஆண்டவரே! என்றார்கள். And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord.

29 அப்பொழுது, அவர்களுடைய கண்களை அவர் தொட்டு: உங்கள் விசுவாசத்தின்படி உங்களுக்கு ஆகக்கடவது என்றார். Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.

30 உடனே அவர்களுடைய கண்கள் திறக்கப்பட்டது. இதை ஒருவரும் அறியாதபடிக்கு எச்சரிக்கையாயிருங்கள் என்று இயேசு அவர்களுக்குக் கண்டிப்பாய்க் கட்டளையிட்டார். And their eyes were opened; and Jesus straitly charged them, saying, See that no man know it.

31 அவர்களோ புறப்பட்டு, அத்தேசமெங்கும் அவருடைய கீர்த்தியைப் பிரசித்தம்பண்ணினார்கள். But they, when they were departed, spread abroad his fame in all that country.

32 அவர்கள் புறப்பட்டுப் போகையில், பிசாசுபிடித்த ஊமையான ஒரு மனுஷனை அவரிடத்தில் கொண்டுவந்தார்கள். As they went out, behold, they brought to him a dumb man possessed with a devil.

33 பிசாசு துரத்தப்பட்டபின்பு ஊமையன் பேசினான். ஜனங்கள் ஆச்சரியப்பட்டு: இஸ்ரவேலில் இப்படி ஒருக்காலும் காணப்படவில்லை என்றார்கள். And when the devil was cast out, the dumb spake: and the multitudes marvelled, saying, It was never so seen in Israel.

34 பரிசேயரோ: இவன் பிசாசுகளின் தலைவனாலே பிசாசுகளைத் துரத்துகிறான் என்றார்கள். But the Pharisees said, He casteth out devils through the prince of the devils.

35 பின்பு, இயேசு சகல பட்டணங்களையும் கிராமங்களையும் சுற்றி நடந்து, ஜெப ஆலயங்களில் உபதேசித்து, ராஜ்யத்தின் சுவிசேஷத்தைப் பிரசங்கித்து, ஜனங்களுக்கு உண்டாயிருந்த சகல வியாதிகளையும் சகல நோய்களையும் நீக்கி, அவர்களைச் சொஸ்தமாக்கினார். And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.

36 அவர், திரளான ஜனங்களைக் கண்டபொழுது, அவர்கள் மேய்ப்பனில்லாத ஆடுகளைப்போலத் தொய்ந்துபோனவர்களும் சிதறடிக்கப்பட்டவர்களுமாய் இருந்தபடியால், அவர்கள்மேல் மனதுருகி, But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.

37 தம்முடைய சீஷர்களை நோக்கி: அறுப்பு மிகுதி வேலையாட்களோ கொஞ்சம்; Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;

38 ஆதலால், அறுப்புக்கு எஜமான் தமது அறுப்புக்கு வேலையாட்களை அனுப்பும்படி அவரை வேண்டிக்கொள்ளுங்கள் என்றார். Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.

1 Appoluthu, avar padavil aeri, ikkaraippattuth thammutaiya pattanaththirku vanthaar. And he entered into a ship, and passed over, and came into his own city.

2 Angae padukkaiyilae kidantha oru thimirvaathakkaaranai avaridaththil konnduvanthaarkal. Yesu avarkalutaiya visuvaasaththaik kanndu, thimirvaathakkaaranai Nnokki: makanae, thidankol, un paavangal unakku mannikkappattathu entar. And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee.

3 Appoluthu, vaethapaarakaril silar: ivan thaevathooshanam sollukiraan entu thangal ullaththil sollikkonndaarkal. And, behold, certain of the scribes said within themselves, This man blasphemeth.

4 Yesu avarkal ninaivukalai arinthu: neengal ungal iruthayangalil pollaathavaikalaich sinthikkirathenna? And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts?

5 Un paavangal mannikkappattathu entu solvatho, elunthu nadaventu solvatho ethu elithu? For whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and walk?

6 Poomiyilae paavangalai mannikka manushakumaaranukku athikaaram unndenpathai neengal ariyavaenndum entu solli, thimirvaathakkaaranai Nnokki: nee elunthu un padukkaiyai eduththukkonndu, un veettukkup po entar. But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house.

7 Udanae avan elunthu, than veettukkupponaan. And he arose, and departed to his house.

8 Janangal athaikkanndu aachchariyappattu, manusharukku ippatippatta athikaaraththaik koduththavaraakiya thaevanai makimaippaduththinaarkal. But when the multitudes saw it, they marvelled, and glorified God, which had given such power unto men.

9 Yesu avvidam vittup purappattuppokaiyil, aayaththuraiyil utkaarnthiruntha maththaeyu ennum oru manushanaikkanndu: enakkup pinsentuvaa entar; avan elunthu avarukkup pinsentan. And as Jesus passed forth from thence, he saw a man, named Matthew, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he saith unto him, Follow me. And he arose, and followed him.

10 Pinpu avar veettilae pojanapanthiyirukkaiyil, anaeka aayakkaararum paavikalum vanthu, Yesuvodum avar seesharodungaூdap panthiyirunthaarkal. And it came to pass, as Jesus sat at meat in the house, behold, many publicans and sinners came and sat down with him and his disciples.

11 Pariseyar athaikkanndu, avarutaiya seesharkalai Nnokki: ungal pothakar aayakkaararodum paavikalodum pojanam pannnukirathennaventu kaettarkal. And when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto his disciples, Why eateth your Master with publicans and sinners?

12 Yesu athaikkaettu: pinniyaalikalukku vaiththiyan vaenntiyathaeyallaamal sukamullavarkalukku vaenntiyathillai. But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.

13 Paliyaiyalla, irakkaththaiyae virumpukiraேn enpathin karuththu innathentu poyk kattaுkollungal; neethimaankalaiyalla, paavikalaiyae mananthirumpukiratharku alaikka vanthaen entar. But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

14 Appoluthu, yovaanutaiya seeshar avaridaththil vanthu: naangalum pariseyarum anaekantharam upavaasikkiromae; ummutaiya seeshar upavaasiyaamalirukkirathennaventu kaettarkal. Then came to him the disciples of John, saying, Why do we and the Pharisees fast oft, but thy disciples fast not?

15 Atharku Yesu: manavaalan thangalotirukkaiyil manavaalanutaiya tholar thuyarappaduvaarkalaa? Manavaalan avarkalai vittu edupadum naatkal varum, appoluthu upavaasippaarkal. And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? but the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, and then shall they fast.

16 Oruvan kotiththunntaip palaiya vasthiraththotae innaikkamaattan innaiththaal, athinotae innaiththa thunndu vasthiraththaik kilikkum, peeralum athikamaakum. No man putteth a piece of new cloth unto an old garment, for that which is put in to fill it up taketh from the garment, and the rent is made worse.

17 Puthu thiraatcharasaththai palanthuruththikalil vaarththuvaikkirathumillai; vaarththuvaiththaal, thuruththikal kilinthupom, irasamum sinthippom, thuruththikalum kettuppom; puthu rasaththaip puthu thuruththikalil vaarththuvaippaarkal; appoluthu iranndum paththirappattirukkum entar. Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved.

18 Avar ivaikalai avarkalukkuch sollikkonntirukkaiyil, thalaivan oruvan vanthu avaraippanninthu: en makal ippoluthuthaan mariththupponaal; aakilum neer vanthu avalmael umathu kaiyai vaiyum, appoluthu pilaippaal entan. While he spake these things unto them, behold, there came a certain ruler, and worshipped him, saying, My daughter is even now dead: but come and lay thy hand upon her, and she shall live.

19 Yesu elunthu, thammutaiya seesharodungaூda avan pinnae ponaar. And Jesus arose, and followed him, and so did his disciples.

20 Appoluthu, panniranndu varushamaayp perumpaadulla sthiree: And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment:

21 Naan avarutaiya vasthiraththaiyaakilum thottal sosthamaavaen entu than ullaththil ennnnikkonndu, avar pinnaalae vanthu, avarutaiya vasthiraththin oraththaith thottal. For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole.

22 Yesu thirumpi, avalaip paarththu: makalae, thidan kol, un visuvaasam unnai iratchiththathu entar. Annaerammuthal antha sthiree sosthamaanaal. But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.

23 Yesuvaanavar thalaivanutaiya veettilae vanthu, thaarai oothukiravarkalaiyum, iraikira janangalaiyum kanndu: And when Jesus came into the ruler's house, and saw the minstrels and the people making a noise,

24 Vilakungal, inthach siraுpenn marikkavillai, niththiraiyaayirukkiraal entar. Atharkaaka avaraippaarththu nakaiththaarkal. He said unto them, Give place: for the maid is not dead, but sleepeth. And they laughed him to scorn.

25 Janangal veliyae thuraththappattapinpu, avar ullae piravaesiththu anthach siraுpennnnin kaiyaippitiththaar; udanae aval elunthirunthaal. But when the people were put forth, he went in, and took her by the hand, and the maid arose.

26 Inthach sangathi aththaesamengum pirasiththamaayittaு. And the fame hereof went abroad into all that land.

27 Yesu avvidam vittup pokaiyil, iranndu kurudar avar pinnae sentu: thaaveethin kumaaranae, engalukku irangum entu kooppittarkal. And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying, and saying, Thou son of David, have mercy on us.

28 Avar veettirku vanthapinpu, anthak kurudar avaridaththil vanthaarkal. Yesu avarkalai Nnokki: ithaich seyya enakku vallamai unndentu visuvaasikkireerkalaa entu kaettar; atharku avarkal: aam visuvaasikkirom, aanndavarae! Entarkal. And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord.

29 Appoluthu, avarkalutaiya kannkalai avar thottu: ungal visuvaasaththinpati ungalukku aakakkadavathu entar. Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.

30 Udanae avarkalutaiya kannkal thirakkappattathu. Ithai oruvarum ariyaathapatikku echcharikkaiyaayirungal entu Yesu avarkalukkuk kanntippaayk kattalaiyittar. And their eyes were opened; and Jesus straitly charged them, saying, See that no man know it.

31 Avarkalo purappattu, aththaesamengum avarutaiya geerththiyaip pirasiththampannnninaarkal. But they, when they were departed, spread abroad his fame in all that country.

32 Avarkal purappattup pokaiyil, pisaasupitiththa oomaiyaana oru manushanai avaridaththil konnduvanthaarkal. As they went out, behold, they brought to him a dumb man possessed with a devil.

33 Pisaasu thuraththappattapinpu oomaiyan paesinaan. Janangal aachchariyappattu: isravaelil ippati orukkaalum kaanappadavillai entarkal. And when the devil was cast out, the dumb spake: and the multitudes marvelled, saying, It was never so seen in Israel.

34 Pariseyaro: ivan pisaasukalin thalaivanaalae pisaasukalaith thuraththukiraan entarkal. But the Pharisees said, He casteth out devils through the prince of the devils.

35 Pinpu, Yesu sakala pattanangalaiyum kiraamangalaiyum sutti nadanthu, jepa aalayangalil upathaesiththu, raajyaththin suviseshaththaip pirasangiththu, janangalukku unndaayiruntha sakala viyaathikalaiyum sakala Nnoykalaiyum neekki, avarkalaich sosthamaakkinaar. 36 Avar, thiralaana janangalaik kanndapoluthu, avarkal maeyppanillaatha aadukalaippolath thoynthuponavarkalum sitharatikkappattavarkalumaay irunthapatiyaal, avarkalmael manathuruki, But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.

37 Thammutaiya seesharkalai Nnokki: araுppu mikuthi vaelaiyaatkalo konjam; Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;

38 Aathalaal, araுppukku ejamaan thamathu araுppukku vaelaiyaatkalai anuppumpati avarai vaenntikkollungal entar. Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.
