Genesis 28 in Tamil

1 ஈசாக்கு யாக்கோபை அழைத்து. அவனை ஆசீர்வதித்து, நீ கானானியருடைய குமாரத்திகளில் பெண்கொள்ளாமல், And Isaac called Jacob, and blessed him, and charged him, and said unto him, Thou shalt not take a wife of the daughters of Canaan.

2 எழுந்து புறப்பட்டு, பதான் அராமிலிருக்கிற உன் தாயினுடைய தகப்பனாகிய பெத்துவேலுடைய வீட்டுக்குப் போய், அவ்விடத்தில் உன் தாயின் சகோதரனாகிய லாபானின் குமாரத்திகளுக்குள் பெண்கொள் என்று அவனுக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டான். Arise, go to Padanaram, to the house of Bethuel thy mother's father; and take thee a wife from thence of the daughters of Laban thy mother's brother.

3 சர்வவல்லமையுள்ள தேவன் உன்னை ஆசீர்வதித்து, நீ பல ஜனக்கூட்டமாகும்படி உன்னைப் பலுகவும் பெருகவும்பண்ணி; And God Almighty bless thee, and make thee fruitful, and multiply thee, that thou mayest be a multitude of people;

4 தேவன் ஆபிரகாமுக்குக் கொடுத்ததும் நீ பரதேசியாய்த் தங்குகிறதுமான தேசத்தை நீ சுதந்தரித்துக்கொள்ளும்படி ஆபிரகாமுக்கு அருளிய ஆசீர்வாதத்தை உனக்கும் உன் சந்ததிக்கும் அருளுவாராக என்று சொல்லி; And give thee the blessing of Abraham, to thee, and to thy seed with thee; that thou mayest inherit the land wherein thou art a stranger, which God gave unto Abraham.

5 ஈசாக்கு யாக்கோபை அனுப்பிவிட்டான். அப்பொழுது அவன் பதான் அராமிலிருக்கும் சீரியா தேசத்தானாகிய பெத்துவேலுடைய குமாரனும், தனக்கும் ஏசாவுக்கும் தாயாகிய ரெபெக்காளின் சகோதரனுமான லாபானிடத்துக்குப் போகப் புறப்பட்டான். And Isaac sent away Jacob: and he went to Padanaram unto Laban, son of Bethuel the Syrian, the brother of Rebekah, Jacob's and Esau's mother.

6 ஈசாக்கு யாக்கோபை ஆசீர்வதித்து, ஒரு பெண்ணைக் கொள்ளும்படி அவனைப் பதான் அராமுக்கு அனுப்பினதையும், அவனை ஆசீர்வதிக்கையில்: நீ கானானியருடைய குமாரத்திகளில் பெண்கொள்ளவேண்டாம் என்று அவனுக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டதையும், When Esau saw that Isaac had blessed Jacob, and sent him away to Padanaram, to take him a wife from thence; and that as he blessed him he gave him a charge, saying, Thou shalt not take a wife of the daughters of Canaan;

7 யாக்கோபு தன் தகப்பனுக்கும் தன் தாய்க்கும் கீழ்ப்படிந்து, பதான் அராமுக்கு புறப்பட்டுப்போனதையும் ஏசா கண்டதினாலும், And that Jacob obeyed his father and his mother, and was gone to Padanaram;

8 கானானிய குமாரத்திகள் தன் தகப்பனாகிய ஈசாக்கின் பார்வைக்கு ஆகாதவர்கள் என்பதை ஏசா அறிந்ததினாலும், And Esau seeing that the daughters of Canaan pleased not Isaac his father;

9 ஏசா இஸ்மவேலிடத்துக்குப் போய், தனக்கு முன்னிருந்த மனைவிகளுமன்றி, ஆபிரகாமுடைய குமாரனாகிய இஸ்மவேலின் குமாரத்தியும் நெபாயோத்தின் சகோதரியுமாகிய மகலாத்தையும் விவாகம்பண்ணினான். Then went Esau unto Ishmael, and took unto the wives which he had Mahalath the daughter of Ishmael Abraham's son, the sister of Nebajoth, to be his wife.

10 யாக்கோபு பெயெர்செபாவை விட்டுப் புறப்பட்டு ஆரானுக்குப் போகப் பிரயாணம்பண்ணி, And Jacob went out from Beersheba, and went toward Haran.

11 ஒரு இடத்திலே வந்து, சூரியன் அஸ்தமித்தபடியினால், அங்கே ராத்தங்கி, அவ்விடத்துக் கற்களில் ஒன்றை எடுத்து, தன் தலையின்கீழ் வைத்து, அங்கே நித்திரை செய்யும்படி படுத்துக்கொண்டான். And he lighted upon a certain place, and tarried there all night, because the sun was set; and he took of the stones of that place, and put them for his pillows, and lay down in that place to sleep.

12 அங்கே அவன் ஒரு சொப்பனம் கண்டான்; இதோ, ஒரு ஏணி பூமியிலே வைக்கப்பட்டிருந்தது, அதின் நுனி வானத்தை எட்டியிருந்தது, அதிலே தேவதூதர் ஏறுகிறவர்களும் இறங்குகிறவர்களுமாய் இருந்தார்கள். And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it.

13 அதற்கு மேலாகக் கர்த்தர் நின்று: நான் உன் தகப்பனாகிய ஆபிரகாமின் தேவனும் ஈசாக்கின் தேவனுமாகிய கர்த்தர்; நீ படுத்திருக்கிற பூமியை உனக்கும் உன் சந்ததிக்கும் தருவேன். And, behold, the LORD stood above it, and said, I am the LORD God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed;

14 உன் சந்ததி பூமியின் தூளைப்போலிருக்கும்; நீ மேற்கேயும், கிழக்கேயும், வடக்கேயும், தெற்கேயும் பரம்புவாய்; உனக்குள்ளும் உன் சந்ததிக்குள்ளும் பூமியின் வம்சங்களெல்லாம் ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்படும். And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.

15 நான் உன்னோடே இருந்து, நீ போகிற இடத்திலெல்லாம் உன்னைக் காத்து, இந்தத் தேசத்துக்கு உன்னைத் திரும்பிவரப்பண்ணுவேன்; நான் உனக்குச் சொன்னதைச் செய்யுமளவும் உன்னைக் கைவிடுவதில்லை என்றார். And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of.

16 யாக்கோபு நித்திரை தெளிந்து விழித்தபோது: மெய்யாகவே கர்த்தர் இந்த இடத்தில் இருக்கிறார்; இதை நான் அறியாதிருந்தேன் என்றான். And Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, Surely the LORD is in this place; and I knew it not.

17 அவன் பயந்து, இந்த ஸ்தலம் எவ்வளவு பயங்கரமாயிருக்கிறது! இது தேவனுடைய வீடேயல்லாமல் வேறல்ல, இது வானத்தின் வாசல் என்றான். And he was afraid, and said, How dreadful is this place! this is none other but the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.

18 அதிகாலையிலே யாக்கோபு எழுந்து, தன் தலையின் கீழ் வைத்திருந்த கல்லை எடுத்து, அதைத் தூணாக நிறுத்தி, அதின்மேல் எண்ணெய் வார்த்து, And Jacob rose up early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put for his pillows, and set it up for a pillar, and poured oil upon the top of it.

19 அந்த ஸ்தலத்திற்குப் பெத்தேல் என்று பேரிட்டான்; அதற்கு முன்னே அவ்வூருக்கு லுூஸ் என்னும் பேர் இருந்தது. And he called the name of that place Bethel: but the name of that city was called Luz at the first.

20 அப்பொழுது யாக்கோபு: தேவன் என்னோடே இருந்து, நான் போகிற இந்த வழியிலே என்னைக் காப்பாற்றி, உண்ண ஆகாரமும், உடுக்க வஸ்திரமும் எனக்குத் தந்து, And Jacob vowed a vow, saying, If God will be with me, and will keep me in this way that I go, and will give me bread to eat, and raiment to put on,

21 என்னை என் தகப்பன் வீட்டுக்குச் சமாதானத்தோடே திருப்பிவரப்பண்ணுவாரானால், கர்த்தர் எனக்குத் தேவனாயிருப்பார்; So that I come again to my father's house in peace; then shall the LORD be my God:

22 நான் தூணாக நிறுத்தின இந்தக் கல் தேவனுக்கு வீடாகும்; தேவரீர் எனக்குத் தரும் எல்லாவற்றிலும் உமக்குத் தசமபாகம் செலுத்துவேன் என்று சொல்லிப் பொருத்தனைபண்ணிக்கொண்டான். And this stone, which I have set for a pillar, shall be God's house: and of all that thou shalt give me I will surely give the tenth unto thee.

1 Eesaakku yaakkopai alaiththu. Avanai aaseervathiththu, nee kaanaaniyarutaiya kumaaraththikalil pennkollaamal, And Isaac called Jacob, and blessed him, and charged him, and said unto him, Thou shalt not take a wife of the daughters of Canaan.

2 Elunthu purappattu, pathaan araamilirukkira un thaayinutaiya thakappanaakiya peththuvaelutaiya veettukkup poy, avvidaththil un thaayin sakotharanaakiya laapaanin kumaaraththikalukkul pennkol entu avanukkuk kattalaiyittan. Arise, go to Padanaram, to the house of Bethuel thy mother's father; and take thee a wife from thence of the daughters of Laban thy mother's brother.

3 Sarvavallamaiyulla Dhevan unnai aaseervathiththu, nee pala janakkoottamaakumpati unnaip palukavum perukavumpannnni; And God Almighty bless thee, and make thee fruitful, and multiply thee, that thou mayest be a multitude of people;

4 Dhevan aapirakaamukkuk koduththathum nee parathaesiyaayth thangukirathumaana thaesaththai nee suthanthariththukkollumpati aapirakaamukku aruliya aaseervaathaththai unakkum un santhathikkum aruluvaaraaka entu solli; And give thee the blessing of Abraham, to thee, and to thy seed with thee; that thou mayest inherit the land wherein thou art a stranger, which God gave unto Abraham.

5 Eesaakku yaakkopai anuppivittan. Appoluthu avan pathaan araamilirukkum seeriyaa thaesaththaanaakiya peththuvaelutaiya kumaaranum, thanakkum aesaavukkum thaayaakiya repekkaalin sakotharanumaana laapaanidaththukkup pokap purappattan. And Isaac sent away Jacob: and he went to Padanaram unto Laban, son of Bethuel the Syrian, the brother of Rebekah, Jacob's and Esau's mother.

6 Eesaakku yaakkopai aaseervathiththu, oru pennnnaik kollumpati avanaip pathaan araamukku anuppinathaiyum, avanai aaseervathikkaiyil: nee kaanaaniyarutaiya kumaaraththikalil pennkollavaenndaam entu avanukkuk kattalaiyittathaiyum, When Esau saw that Isaac had blessed Jacob, and sent him away to Padanaram, to take him a wife from thence; and that as he blessed him he gave him a charge, saying, Thou shalt not take a wife of the daughters of Canaan;

7 Yaakkopu than thakappanukkum than thaaykkum geelppatinthu, pathaan araamukku purappattupponathaiyum aesaa kanndathinaalum, And that Jacob obeyed his father and his mother, and was gone to Padanaram;

8 Kaanaaniya kumaaraththikal than thakappanaakiya eesaakkin paarvaikku aakaathavarkal enpathai aesaa arinthathinaalum, And Esau seeing that the daughters of Canaan pleased not Isaac his father;

9 Aesaa ismavaelidaththukkup poy, thanakku munniruntha manaivikalumanti, aapirakaamutaiya kumaaranaakiya ismavaelin kumaaraththiyum nepaayoththin sakothariyumaakiya makalaaththaiyum vivaakampannnninaan. Then went Esau unto Ishmael, and took unto the wives which he had Mahalath the daughter of Ishmael Abraham's son, the sister of Nebajoth, to be his wife.

10 Yaakkopu peyersepaavai vittup purappattu aaraanukkup pokap pirayaanampannnni, And Jacob went out from Beersheba, and went toward Haran.

11 Oru idaththilae vanthu, sooriyan asthamiththapatiyinaal, angae raaththangi, avvidaththuk karkalil ontai eduththu, than thalaiyingeel vaiththu, angae niththirai seyyumpati paduththukkonndaan. And he lighted upon a certain place, and tarried there all night, because the sun was set; and he took of the stones of that place, and put them for his pillows, and lay down in that place to sleep.

12 Angae avan oru soppanam kanndaan; itho, oru aenni poomiyilae vaikkappattirunthathu, athin nuni vaanaththai ettiyirunthathu, athilae thaevathoothar aeraுkiravarkalum irangukiravarkalumaay irunthaarkal. And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it.

13 Atharku maelaakak Karththar nintu: naan un thakappanaakiya aapirakaamin thaevanum eesaakkin thaevanumaakiya Karththar; nee paduththirukkira poomiyai unakkum un santhathikkum tharuvaen. And, behold, the LORD stood above it, and said, I am the LORD God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed;

14 Un santhathi poomiyin thoolaippolirukkum; nee maerkaeyum, kilakkaeyum, vadakkaeyum, therkaeyum parampuvaay; unakkullum un santhathikkullum poomiyin vamsangalellaam aaseervathikkappadum. And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.

15 Naan unnotae irunthu, nee pokira idaththilellaam unnaik kaaththu, inthath thaesaththukku unnaith thirumpivarappannnuvaen; naan unakkuch sonnathaich seyyumalavum unnaik kaividuvathillai entar. And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of.

16 Yaakkopu niththirai thelinthu viliththapothu: meyyaakavae Karththar intha idaththil irukkiraar; ithai naan ariyaathirunthaen entan. And Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, Surely the LORD is in this place; and I knew it not.

17 Avan payanthu, intha sthalam evvalavu payangaramaayirukkirathu! Ithu thaevanutaiya veetaeyallaamal vaeralla, ithu vaanaththin vaasal entan. And he was afraid, and said, How dreadful is this place! this is none other but the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.

18 Athikaalaiyilae yaakkopu elunthu, than thalaiyin geel vaiththiruntha kallai eduththu, athaith thoonnaaka niraுththi, athinmael ennnney vaarththu, And Jacob rose up early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put for his pillows, and set it up for a pillar, and poured oil upon the top of it.

19 Antha sthalaththirkup peththael entu paerittan; atharku munnae avvoorukku luூs ennum paer irunthathu. And he called the name of that place Bethel: but the name of that city was called Luz at the first.

20 Appoluthu yaakkopu: Dhevan ennotae irunthu, naan pokira intha valiyilae ennaik kaappaatti, unnna aakaaramum, udukka vasthiramum enakkuth thanthu, And Jacob vowed a vow, saying, If God will be with me, and will keep me in this way that I go, and will give me bread to eat, and raiment to put on,

21 Ennai en thakappan veettukkuch samaathaanaththotae thiruppivarappannnuvaaraanaal, Karththar enakkuth thaevanaayiruppaar; So that I come again to my father's house in peace; then shall the LORD be my God:

22 Naan thoonnaaka niraுththina inthak kal thaevanukku veedaakum; thaevareer enakkuth tharum ellaavattilum umakkuth thasamapaakam seluththuvaen entu sollip poruththanaipannnnikkonndaan. And this stone, which I have set for a pillar, shall be God's house: and of all that thou shalt give me I will surely give the tenth unto thee.
