¸°వనుడును వృద్ధుడును వీధులలో నేలను పడి యున్నారు నా కన్యకలును నా ¸°వనులును ఖడ్గముచేత కూలి యున్నారు నీ ఉగ్రతదినమున నీవు వారిని హతము చేసితివి దయ తలచక వారినందరిని వధించితివి.

The young נַ֣עַר naʿar na-AR
and the old וְזָקֵ֔ן zāqēn za-KANE
my virgins בְּתוּלֹתַ֥י bĕtûlâ beh-too-LA
and my young men וּבַחוּרַ֖י bāḥûr ba-HOOR
are fallen נָפְל֣וּ nāpal na-FAHL
by the sword; בֶחָ֑רֶב ḥereb heh-REV
