ஆதலால், ஆண்டவர் அவர்கள் வாலிபர்மேல் பிரியமாயிருப்பதில்லை; அவர்களிலிருக்கிற திக்கற்ற பிள்ளைகள்மேலும் விதவைகள்மேலும் இரங்குவதுமில்லை; அவர்கள் அனைவரும் மாயக்காரரும் பொல்லாதவர்களுமாயிருக்கிறார்கள்; எல்லா வாயும் ஆகாமியம் பேசும்; இவையெல்லாவற்றிலும் அவருடைய கோபம் ஆறாமல் இன்னும் அவருடைய கை நீட்டினபடியே இருக்கிறது.

ஆதலால், ஆண்டவர் அவர்கள் வாலிபர்மேல் பிரியமாயிருப்பதில்லை; அவர்களிலிருக்கிற திக்கற்ற பிள்ளைகள்மேலும் விதவைகள்மேலும் இரங்குவதுமில்லை; அவர்கள் அனைவரும் மாயக்காரரும் பொல்லாதவர்களுமாயிருக்கிறார்கள்; எல்லா வாயும் மோசமானதைப் பேசும்; இவையெல்லாவற்றிலும் அவருடைய கோபம் தணியாமல், இன்னும் அவருடைய கை நீட்டினபடியே இருக்கிறது.

அனைத்து ஜனங்களும் தீமையானவர்கள். எனவே இளைஞர்களைப்பற்றிக் கர்த்தர் மகிழ்ச்சியடையமாட்டார். அவர்களின் விதவைகளிடமும், அநாதைகளிடமும் அவர் இரக்கம் காட்டமாட்டார். ஏனென்றால், அனைவரும் தீமையானவர்கள். ஜனங்கள் செய்வதெல்லாம் தேவனுக்கு எதிரானவையே. ஜனங்கள் பொய் பேசுகிறார்கள். எனவே, தேவன் தொடர்ந்து ஜனங்களிடம் கோபமாக உள்ளார். தேவன் தொடர்ந்து அந்த ஜனங்களை தண்டிக்கிறார்.

Therefore the LORD shall have no joy in their young men, neither shall have mercy on their fatherless and widows: for every one is an hypocrite and an evildoer, and every mouth speaketh folly. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

Therefore the Lord will not rejoice over their young men, neither will he have compassion on their fatherless and widows; for every one is profane and an evil-doer, and every mouth speaketh folly. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

כֵּ֨ן kēn kane
in עַל ʿal al
their young men, בַּחוּרָ֜יו bāḥûr ba-HOOR
shall have no לֹֽא lōʾ loh
joy יִשְׂמַ֣ח׀ śāmaḥ sa-MAHK
the Lord אֲדֹנָ֗י ʾădōnāy uh-doh-NAI
וְאֶת ʾēt ate
on their fatherless יְתֹמָ֤יו yātôm ya-TOME
וְאֶת ʾēt ate
and widows: אַלְמְנוֹתָיו֙ ʾalmānâ al-ma-NA
neither לֹ֣א lōʾ loh
shall have mercy יְרַחֵ֔ם rāḥam ra-HAHM
for כִּ֤י kî kee
every one כֻלּוֹ֙ kōl kole
an hypocrite חָנֵ֣ף ḥānēp ha-NAFE
and an evildoer, וּמֵרַ֔ע rāʿaʿ ra-AH
