யாத்திராகமம் 8:24
அப்படியே கர்த்தர் செய்தார்; மகாதிரளான வண்டு ஜாதிகள் பார்வோன் வீட்டிலும், அவன் ஊழியக்காரர் வீடுகளிலும், எகிப்து தேசம் முழுவதிலும் வந்தது; வண்டுகளினாலே தேசம் கெட்டுப்போயிற்று.

அப்படியே கர்த்தர் செய்தார்; வெகு திரளான வண்டுவகைகள் பார்வோனுடைய வீட்டிலும், அவனுடைய வேலைக்காரர்களுடைய வீடுகளிலும், எகிப்து தேசம் முழுவதிலும் வந்தது; வண்டுகளினாலே தேசம் கெட்டுப்போனது.

பிறகு கர்த்தர் தான் சொன்னபடியே செய்து காட்டினார். மிகுதியான ஈக்கள் எகிப்து தேசமெங்கும் பார்வோன் வீட்டினுள்ளும் அவன் அதிகாரிகளின் வீட்டினுள்ளும் நிரம்பியிருந்தன. ஈக்கள் தேசத்தை அழித்துக்கொண்டிருந்தன.

திருவிவிலியம்
அவ்வாறே ஆண்டவரும் செய்து முடித்தார். ஈக்கள் பார்வோன் வீட்டிலும், அவனுடைய அலுவலர் வீட்டிலும், எகிப்து நாடெங்கும் திரளாய்ப் பெருகின. ஈக்களால் நாடே பாழாகிவிட்டது.⒫
