ஆகையால் தாவீது கிபியோனியரைப் பார்த்து: நான் உங்களுக்குச் செய்யவேண்டியது என்ன? நீங்கள் கர்த்தருடைய சுதந்தரத்தை ஆசீர்வதிக்கும்படிக்கு, நான் செய்யவேண்டிய பிராயச்சித்தம் என்ன என்று கேட்டான்.

தாவீது கிபியோனியரிடம், “நான் உங்களுக்கு என்ன செய்யக்கூடும்? இஸ்ரவேலின் பாவத்தைப் போக்குவதற்கு நான் என்ன செய்ய முடியும்? எனவே நீர் கர்த்தருடைய ஜனங்களை ஆசிர்வதிக்கலாம்” என்றான்.

தாவீது கிபயோனியரிடம், “உங்களுக்காக நான் செய்ய வேண்டியது என்ன? நீங்கள் ஆண்டவரின் உரிமைச்சொத்துக்கு ஆசிவழங்குமாறு நான் என்ன கழுவாய் செய்ய வேண்டும்?” என்று கேட்டார்.⒫
