கர்த்தர் தமது ஜனத்தின் முறிவைக் கட்டி, அதின் அடிக்காயத்தைக் குணமாக்கும் நாளிலே, சந்திரனுடைய வெளிச்சம் சூரியனுடைய வெளிச்சத்தைப்போலவும், சூரியனுடைய வெளிச்சம் ஏழத்தனையாய் ஏழு பகலின் வெளிச்சத்தைப்போலவும் இருக்கும்.

கர்த்தர் தமது மக்களின் முறிவைக் கட்டி, அதின் அடிக்காயத்தைக் குணமாக்கும் நாளிலே, சந்திரனுடைய வெளிச்சம் சூரியனுடைய வெளிச்சத்தைப்போலவும், சூரியனுடைய வெளிச்சம் ஏழமடங்காக ஏழு பகலின் வெளிச்சத்தைப்போலவும் இருக்கும்.

அந்தக் காலத்திலே, சந்திரனிலிருந்து வருகிற ஒளியானது சூரியனின் ஒளிபோல இருக்கும். சூரியனின் ஒளியானது இப்பொழுது இருப்பதைவிட ஏழு மடங்கு மிகுதியாக இருக்கும். சூரியனிலுள்ள ஒரு நாள் வெளிச்சம் ஒரு வாரம் (ஏழு நாள்) வெளிச்சம்போல் இருக்கும். இவை கர்த்தர் தமது உடைந்துபோன ஜனங்களின் அடிகளினிமித்தம் கட்டுகள் கட்டி அவற்றின் அடிக்காயத்தைக் குணமாக்கும்போது நிகழும்.

ஆண்டவர் தம் மக்களின் முறிவுகளைக் கட்டி, தாம் அடித்து ஏற்படுத்திய காயங்களைக் குணமாக்கும் நாளில், நிலவின் ஒளி கதிரவன் ஒளிபோலாகும்; கதிரவன் ஒளி ஏழு பகல்களின் ஒளி ஒன்று திரண்டாற்போல ஏழு மடங்காகும்.

Moreover the light אוֹר ʾôr ore
of the moon הַלְּבָנָה֙ lĕbānâ leh-va-NA
as the light כְּא֣וֹר ʾôr ore
of the sun, הַֽחַמָּ֔ה ḥammâ ha-MA
and the light וְא֤וֹר ʾôr ore
of the sun הַֽחַמָּה֙ ḥammâ ha-MA
shall be יִהְיֶ֣ה hāyâ ha-YA
sevenfold, שִׁבְעָתַ֔יִם šibʿātayim sheev-ah-ta-YEEM
as the light כְּא֖וֹר ʾôr ore
of seven שִׁבְעַ֣ת šebaʿ sheh-VA
days, הַיָּמִ֑ים yôm yome
in the day בְּי֗וֹם yôm yome
bindeth up חֲבֹ֤שׁ ḥābaš ha-VAHSH
that the Lord יְהוָה֙ yĕhōwâ yeh-hoh-VA
אֶת ʾēt ate
