ਪਰ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਰੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਫ਼ਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਖਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਗਿਆਨ ਦਿੰਦਾ, ਕਿ ਕੀ ਚੰਗਾ ਤੇ ਕੀ ਬੁਰਾ। ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਉਸ ਰੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਫ਼ਲ ਖਾਵੇਂਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਮਰ ਜਾਵੇਂਗਾ।”
