Genesis 23:3
ਫ਼ੇਰ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਪਤਨੀ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਹਿੱਤੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਚੱਲਾ ਗਿਆ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ,
| And Abraham | וַיָּ֙קָם֙ | wayyāqām | va-YA-KAHM |
| stood up | אַבְרָהָ֔ם | ʾabrāhām | av-ra-HAHM |
| from before | מֵעַ֖ל | mēʿal | may-AL |
| פְּנֵ֣י | pĕnê | peh-NAY | |
| dead, his | מֵת֑וֹ | mētô | may-TOH |
| and spake | וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר | waydabbēr | vai-da-BARE |
| unto | אֶל | ʾel | el |
| the sons | בְּנֵי | bĕnê | beh-NAY |
| of Heth, | חֵ֖ת | ḥēt | hate |
| saying, | לֵאמֹֽר׃ | lēʾmōr | lay-MORE |
