ਹਰ ਸੂਬੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦਾ ਆਦੇਸ਼ ਪਹੁੰਚਿਆ, ਓੱਥੇ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਦਰਮਿਆਨ ਰੋਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਦਾਸੀ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਵਰਤ ਰੱਖ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਚੀ-ਉੱਚੀ ਚੀਕ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਸੋਗ ਦੇ ਬਸਤਰ ਪਾਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਿਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁਆਹ ਪਾਈ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਤੇ ਲਿਟੇ ਪਏ ਸਨ।
