ਉੱਥੇ ਏਲੀਯਾਹ ਇੱਕ ਗੁਫ਼ਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਰੀ ਰਾਤ ਟਿਕਿਆ। ਤਦ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਏਲੀਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਹੇ ਏਲੀਯਾਹ, ਤੂੰ ਇੱਥੇ ਕੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ?”

ਯੂਨਾਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਾ ਪਾਲਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਭੱਜਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਹ ਯਾਪਾ ਵੱਲ ਚੱਲਾ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਤਰਸ਼ੀਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੋਈ ਇੱਕ ਬੇੜੀ ਮਿਲੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਅਤੇ ਯੂਨਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਫ਼ਰ ਲਈ ਕਿਰਾਯਾ ਅਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਬੇੜੀ ’ਚ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਗਿਆ। ਉਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਕੇ, ਇਸ ਬੇੜੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਰਸ਼ੀਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ।

ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਹਾਨ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਕਾਫ਼ੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਲੋਕ ਮਾਰੂਥਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਬਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਟਕਦੇ ਰਹੇ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਫ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਘੁਰਨਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਰਹੇ।
