Psalm 45 in Tamil

1 என் இருதயம் நல்ல விசேஷத்தினால் பொங்குகிறது; நான் ராஜாவைக் குறித்துப் பாடின கவியைச் சொல்லுகிறேன்; என் நாவு விரைவாய் எழுதுகிறவனுடைய எழுத்தாணி. My heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made touching the king: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer.

2 எல்லா மனுபுத்திரரிலும் நீர் மகா சவுந்தரியமுள்ளவர்; உம்முடைய உதடுகளில் அருள் பொழிகிறது; ஆகையால் தேவன் உம்மை என்றென்றைக்கும் ஆசீர்வதிக்கிறார். Thou art fairer than the children of men: grace is poured into thy lips: therefore God hath blessed thee for ever.

3 சவுரியவானே, உமது மகிமையும் உமது மகத்துவமுமாகிய உம்முடைய பட்டயத்தை நீர் உம்முடைய அரையிலே கட்டிக்கொண்டு, Gird thy sword upon thy thigh, O most mighty, with thy glory and thy majesty.

4 சத்தியத்தினிமித்தமும், நீதியுடன் கூடிய சாந்தத்தினிமித்தமும், உமது மகத்துவத்திலே ஜெயமாக ஏறிவாரும்; உமது வலதுகரம் பயங்கரமானவைகளை உமக்கு விளங்கப்பண்ணும். And in thy majesty ride prosperously because of truth and meekness and righteousness; and thy right hand shall teach thee terrible things.

5 உம்முடைய அம்புகள் கூர்மையானவைகள், அவைகள் ராஜாவுடைய சத்துருக்களின் இருதயத்திற்குள் பாயும்; ஜனசதளங்கள் உமக்குக் கீழே விழுவார்கள். Thine arrows are sharp in the heart of the king's enemies; whereby the people fall under thee.

6 தேவனே, உமது சிங்காசனம் என்றென்றைக்குமுள்ளது, உமது ராஜ்யத்தின் செங்கோல் நீதியுள்ள செங்கோலாயிருக்கிறது. Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre.

7 நீர் நீதியை விரும்பி, அக்கிரமத்தை வெறுக்கிறீர்; ஆதலால் தேவனே, உம்முடைய தேவன் உமதுதோழரைப் பார்க்கிலும் உம்மை ஆனந்த தைலத்தினால் அபிஷேகம்பண்ணினார். Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

8 தந்தத்தினால் செய்த அரமனைகளிலிருந்து புறப்படுகையில், நீர் மகிழும்படி உமது வஸ்திரங்களெல்லாம் வெள்ளைப்போளம் சந்தனம் இலவங்கம் இவைகளின் வாசனை பொருந்தியதாயிருக்கிறது. All thy garments smell of myrrh, and aloes, and cassia, out of the ivory palaces, whereby they have made thee glad.

9 உமது நாயகிகளுக்குள்ளே அரசரின் குமாரத்திகளுண்டு ராஜஸ்திரீ ஓப்பீரின் தங்கம் அணிந்தவளாய் உமது வலதுபாரிசத்தில் நிற்கிறாள். Kings' daughters were among thy honourable women: upon thy right hand did stand the queen in gold of Ophir.

10 குமாரத்தியே நீ உன் செவியைச் சாய்த்து சிந்தித்துக்கொள்; உன் ஜனத்தையும் உன் தகப்பன் வீட்டையும் மறந்துவிடு. Hearken, O daughter, and consider, and incline thine ear; forget also thine own people, and thy father's house;

11 அப்பொழுது ராஜா உன் அழகில் பிரியப்படுவார்; அவர் உன் ஆண்டவர். ஆகையால் அவரைப் பணிந்துகொள். So shall the king greatly desire thy beauty: for he is thy Lord; and worship thou him.

12 தீரு குமாரத்தி காணிக்கை கொண்டுவருவாள்; ஜனங்களில் ஐசுவரியவான்களும் உன் தயவை நாடி வணங்குவார்கள். And the daughter of Tyre shall be there with a gift; even the rich among the people shall intreat thy favour.

13 ராஜகுமாரத்தி உள்ளாக பூரண மகிமையுள்ளவள்; அவள் உடை பொற்சரிகையாயிருக்கிறது. The king's daughter is all glorious within: her clothing is of wrought gold.

14 சித்திரத்தையலாடை தரித்தவளாய், ராஜாவினிடத்தில் அழைத்துக்கொண்டு வரப்படுவாள்; அவள் பின்னாலே செல்லும் அவளுடைய தோழிகளாகிய கன்னிகைகள் உம்மிடத்தில் கூட்டிக்கொண்டுவரப்படுவார்கள். She shall be brought unto the king in raiment of needlework: the virgins her companions that follow her shall be brought unto thee.

15 அவர்கள் மகிழ்ச்சியோடும் களிப்போடும் வந்து ராஜ அரமனைக்குள் பிரவேசிப்பார்கள். With gladness and rejoicing shall they be brought: they shall enter into the king's palace.

16 உமது பிதாக்களுக்குப் பதிலாக உமது குமாரர் இருப்பார்கள்; அவர்களைப் பூமியெங்கும் பிரபுக்களாக வைப்பீர். Instead of thy fathers shall be thy children, whom thou mayest make princes in all the earth.

17 உமது நாமத்தை எல்லாத் தலைமுறைகளிலும் பிரஸ்தாபப்படுத்துவேன், இதினிமித்தம் ஜனங்கள் உம்மை என்றென்றைக்குமுள்ள சதாகாலங்களிலும் துதிப்பார்கள். I will make thy name to be remembered in all generations: therefore shall the people praise thee for ever and ever.

1 En iruthayam nalla viseshaththinaal pongukirathu; naan raajaavaik kuriththup paatina kaviyaich sollukiraேn; en naavu viraivaay eluthukiravanutaiya eluththaanni. My heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made touching the king: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer.

2 Ellaa manupuththirarilum neer makaa savunthariyamullavar; ummutaiya uthadukalil arul polikirathu; aakaiyaal Dhevan ummai ententaikkum aaseervathikkiraar. Thou art fairer than the children of men: grace is poured into thy lips: therefore God hath blessed thee for ever.

3 Savuriyavaanae, umathu makimaiyum umathu makaththuvamumaakiya ummutaiya pattayaththai neer ummutaiya araiyilae kattikkonndu, Gird thy sword upon thy thigh, O most mighty, with thy glory and thy majesty.

4 Saththiyaththinimiththamum, neethiyudan kootiya saanthaththinimiththamum, umathu makaththuvaththilae jeyamaaka aerivaarum; umathu valathukaram payangaramaanavaikalai umakku vilangappannnum. And in thy majesty ride prosperously because of truth and meekness and righteousness; and thy right hand shall teach thee terrible things.

5 Ummutaiya ampukal koormaiyaanavaikal, avaikal raajaavutaiya saththurukkalin iruthayaththirkul paayum; janasathalangal umakkuk geelae viluvaarkal. Thine arrows are sharp in the heart of the king's enemies; whereby the people fall under thee.

6 Thaevanae, umathu singaasanam ententaikkumullathu, umathu raajyaththin sengaோl neethiyulla sengaோlaayirukkirathu. Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre.

7 Neer neethiyai virumpi, akkiramaththai veraுkkireer; aathalaal thaevanae, ummutaiya Dhevan umathutholaraip paarkkilum ummai aanantha thailaththinaal apishaekampannnninaar. 8 Thanthaththinaal seytha aramanaikalilirunthu purappadukaiyil, neer makilumpati umathu vasthirangalellaam vellaippolam santhanam ilavangam ivaikalin vaasanai porunthiyathaayirukkirathu. 9 Umathu naayakikalukkullae arasarin kumaaraththikalunndu raajasthiree oppeerin thangam anninthavalaay umathu valathupaarisaththil nirkiraal. Kings' daughters were among thy honourable women: upon thy right hand did stand the queen in gold of Ophir.

10 Kumaaraththiyae nee un seviyaich saayththu sinthiththukkol; un janaththaiyum un thakappan veettaைyum maranthuvidu. Hearken, O daughter, and consider, and incline thine ear; forget also thine own people, and thy father's house;

11 Appoluthu raajaa un alakil piriyappaduvaar; avar un aanndavar. Aakaiyaal avaraip panninthukol. So shall the king greatly desire thy beauty: for he is thy Lord; and worship thou him.

12 Theeru kumaaraththi kaannikkai konnduvaruvaal; janangalil aisuvariyavaankalum un thayavai naati vananguvaarkal. And the daughter of Tyre shall be there with a gift; even the rich among the people shall intreat thy favour.

13 Raajakumaaraththi ullaaka poorana makimaiyullaval; aval utai porsarikaiyaayirukkirathu. The king's daughter is all glorious within: her clothing is of wrought gold.

14 Siththiraththaiyalaatai thariththavalaay, raajaavinidaththil alaiththukkonndu varappaduvaal; aval pinnaalae sellum avalutaiya tholikalaakiya kannikaikal ummidaththil koottikkonnduvarappaduvaarkal. She shall be brought unto the king in raiment of needlework: the virgins her companions that follow her shall be brought unto thee.

15 Avarkal makilchchiyodum kalippodum vanthu raaja aramanaikkul piravaesippaarkal. With gladness and rejoicing shall they be brought: they shall enter into the king's palace.

16 Umathu pithaakkalukkup pathilaaka umathu kumaarar iruppaarkal; avarkalaip poomiyengum pirapukkalaaka vaippeer. Instead of thy fathers shall be thy children, whom thou mayest make princes in all the earth.

17 Umathu naamaththai ellaath thalaimuraikalilum pirasthaapappaduththuvaen, ithinimiththam janangal ummai ententaikkumulla sathaakaalangalilum thuthippaarkal. I will make thy name to be remembered in all generations: therefore shall the people praise thee for ever and ever.
