Genesis 44:9
ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭେ କୌଣସି ଲୋକର ଥଳିରୁ ରୂପା କପ୍ ପାଇବ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତାଙ୍କୁ ହତ୍ଯା କରିପାରିବ ଏବଂ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟାଂଶ ତୁମ୍ଭ ମୁନିବଙ୍କର ସବେକଗଣ ହବେୁ।

କିନ୍ତୁ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଦବେତାଗଣଙ୍କୁ ଚୋରାଇ ଆଣି ନାହିଁ। ମାତ୍ର ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯାହା ନିକଟରୁ ତାହା ପାଇବ ତାକୁ ହତ୍ଯା କରାୟିବ। ତୁମ୍ଭର ଲୋକମାନେ ମାରେ ସାକ୍ଷୀ ରହିଲେ। ତୁମ୍ଭର ଏଠା ରେ ଯାହାସବୁ ଅଛି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଲୋବତାଗଣଙ୍କୁ ଖାଜେି ପାରିବ। ତୁମ୍ଭର ଯାହା ଅଛି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ନଇେ ପାରିବ। ରାହେଲ ତାହା ଚୋରି କରିଛନ୍ତି ବୋଲି, ଯାକୁବ ଜାଣି ନଥିଲେ।

ସହେି ଲୋକମାନେ ଭୟଭିତ ହାଇେ ଗଲେ ଯେତବେେଳେ ସମାନେେ ଯୋଷଫଙ୍କେ ଗୃହକୁ ଗଲେ। ସମାନେେ କହିଲେ, ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏଥର ଏଠାକୁ ଅଣା ୟିବାର କାରଣ ହେଉଛ ଗତଥର ଆମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଶସ୍ଯ ଅଖା ସହିତ ସହେି ଟଙ୍କା ନଇେ ୟାଇଥିଲୁ। ଆମ୍ଭ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧ ରେ ଏହା ତାଙ୍କର ଏକ ପ୍ରମାଣ। ତେଣୁ ସେ ଏଥର ଆମ୍ଭର ସମସ୍ତ ଗଧକୁ ନଇେଯିବେ ଏବଂ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ତାଙ୍କର ଦାସ କରି ରଖିବେ।
ଆଦି ପୁସ୍ତକ 44:16
ଯିହୁଦା କହିଲେ, ହେ ମହାଶୟ, ଆମ୍ଭର ଆଉ କିଛି କହିବାର ନାହିଁ। ଆମ୍ଭର ସଫଇେ ଦବୋର ଆଉ କିଛି ନାହିଁ। ଆମ୍ଭେ ପ୍ରମାଣ କରିପାରିବୁ ନାହିଁ ଯେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ନିର୍ଦ୍ ଦୋଷ। ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ବିଚାର ରେ ଆମ୍ଭେ କରିଥିବା କାର୍ୟ୍ଯ ଦୋଷାବହ। ସେଥିପାଇଁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସମସ୍ତେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଦାସ ହାଇେ ରହିବୁ, ତାହା ସହିତ ଯାହାର ପଟରୁ ତୁମ୍ଭର ପାତ୍ର ମିଳିଲା।

ମାରେ ଜମି ମୁଁ କାହାଠାରୁ ଚୋରି କରି ନାହିଁ। ଏହା ଚୋରି କରିଥିବା କଥା କହେି ମାେତେ ଦୋଷ ଦଇେ ପାରିବେ ନାହିଁ।

ହେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମାରେ ପରମେଶ୍ବର, ୟଦି ମୁଁ କିଛି ଭଲ କରି ନାହିଁ। ମୁଁ ପ୍ରତିଜ୍ଞା କରି କହିପାରେ ମୁଁ କିଛି କୁକର୍ମ କରି ନାହିଁ।

ମୁଁ ଯଦି କୌଣସି ଦୋଷ କରିଥାଏ, ଓ ମୃତ୍ଯୁ ଯୋଗ୍ଯ କୌଣସି କାର୍ୟ୍ଯ କରିଥାଏ। ତବେେ ମୁଁ ମୃତ୍ଯୁ ବରଣ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ ଅଛି। କିନ୍ତୁ ଯଦି ଏ ଅଭିଯୋଗକାରୀ ମାନଙ୍କର କଥା ରେ ସତ୍ଯତା ନାହିଁ ତବେେ ମାେତେ କହେି ସମାନଙ୍କେ ହାତ ରେ ସମର୍ପଣ କରି ପାରିବେ ନାହିଁ। ତେଣୁ ମୁଁ କାଇସରଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ବିଚ଼ାର ପାଇଁ ଆବଦନେ କରୁଛି।
