ପ୍ରଥମ ଶାମୁୟେଲ 30:22
କିଛି ଦକ୍ସ୍ଟଷ୍ଟ, ଖଳ ପ୍ରକୃତିର ଲୋକମାନେ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କ ସଙ୍ଗ ରେ ୟାଇଥିଲେ। ସହେି ଖଳ ପ୍ରକୃତିର ଲୋକମାନେ କହିଲେ, ଏହି ଯେଉଁ 200 ଜଣ ଲୋକ ଆମ ସଙ୍ଗେ ୟାଇ ନ ଥିଲେ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ଆଣିଥିବା ଦ୍ରବ୍ଯ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଦବୋ ନାହିଁ। ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ କବଳେ ସମାନଙ୍କେର ପିଲା ଓ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଫରୋଇ ଦିଅ।

For thou hast girded me with strength to battle: them that rose up against me hast thou subdued under me.

For thou hast girded	וַתַּזְרֵ֥נִי	wattazrēnî	va-tahz-RAY-nee
strength with me	חַ֖יִל	ḥayil	HA-yeel
to battle:	לַמִּלְחָמָ֑ה	lammilḥāmâ	la-meel-ha-MA
up rose that them	תַּכְרִ֥יעַ	takrîaʿ	tahk-REE-ah
against me hast thou subdued	קָמַ֖י	qāmay	ka-MAI
under	תַּחְתֵּֽנִי׃	taḥtēnî	tahk-TAY-nee

the wicked	אִֽישׁ	ʾîš	eesh

of those	מֵהָֽאֲנָשִׁים֮	mēhāʾănāšîm	may-ha-uh-na-SHEEM
that	אֲשֶׁ֣ר	ʾăšer	uh-SHER
went	הָֽלְכ֣וּ	hālĕkû	ha-leh-HOO
with	עִם	ʿim	eem
David,	דָּוִד֒	dāwid	da-VEED
and said,	וַיֹּֽאמְר֗וּ	wayyōʾmĕrû	va-yoh-meh-ROO
Because	יַ֚עַן	yaʿan	YA-an
	אֲשֶׁ֣ר	ʾăšer	uh-SHER
went they	לֹֽא	lōʾ	loh
not	הָלְכ֣וּ	holkû	hole-HOO
with	עִמִּ֔י	ʿimmî	ee-MEE
us, we will not	לֹֽא	lōʾ	loh
give	נִתֵּ֣ן	nittēn	nee-TANE
them ought of the spoil	לָהֶ֔ם	lāhem	la-HEM
that	מֵֽהַשָּׁלָ֖ל	mēhaššālāl	may-ha-sha-LAHL
recovered, have we	אֲשֶׁ֣ר	ʾăšer	uh-SHER
save	הִצַּ֑לְנוּ	hiṣṣalnû	hee-TSAHL-noo
	כִּֽי	kî	kee
to every man	אִם	ʾim	eem
	אִ֤ישׁ	ʾîš	eesh
his wife	אֶת	ʾet	et
and his children,	אִשְׁתּוֹ֙	ʾištô	eesh-TOH
