ନଦୀର ମତ୍ସ୍ଯମାନେ ମଲେ ଏବଂ ନଦୀର ଜଳ ଦୁର୍ଗନ୍ଧ ୟୁକ୍ତ ହେଲା। ତେଣୁ ମିଶରବାସୀ ଆଉ ନୀଳନଦୀରୁ ଜଳପାନ କରିପାରି ନଥିଲେ। ମିଶରର ସବୁଆଡେ ଜଳଭାଗ ରକ୍ତ ରେ ପରିଣତ ହାଇଗେଲା।

not וְלֹֽא lōʾ loh
could יָכְל֣וּ yākōl ya-HOLE
and the Egyptians מִצְרַ֔יִם miṣrayim meets-ra-YEEM
drink לִשְׁתּ֥וֹת šātâ sha-TA
of the water מַ֖יִם mayim ma-YEEM
of מִן min meen
the river; הַיְאֹ֑ר yĕʾōr yeh-ORE
and there was וַיְהִ֥י hāyâ ha-YA
blood הַדָּ֖ם dām dahm
throughout all בְּכָל kōl kole
the land אֶ֥רֶץ ʾereṣ eh-RETS
of Egypt. מִצְרָֽיִם׃ miṣrayim meets-ra-YEEM
