1 Samuel 22:3
ଦାଉଦ ଅଦକ୍ସ୍ଟଲ୍ଲମ ଛାଡି ମାୟୋବ ଦେଶର ମିସ୍ପୀକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଗଲେ। ଦାଉଦ ମାୟୋବର ରାଜାଙ୍କକ୍ସ୍ଟ କହିଲେ, ମୁ ଆପଣଙ୍କକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଅନକ୍ସ୍ଟ ରୋଧ କରି କହକ୍ସ୍ଟଛି, ମାରେ ପିତାମାତାଙ୍କୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମଧିଅରେ ରହିବାକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଦିଅ। ପରମେଶ୍ବର ମାେ ଉପରେ କ'ଣ କରିବେ ମାରେ ଜାଣିବା ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଏଠା ରେ ରହିବାକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଦିଅ।

ଏହାପରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଆତ୍ମା ୟିଲ୍ଗହ ଉପରେ ଅଧିଷ୍ଠାନ କଲା। ସେ ଗିଲିଯଦ ଓ ମନଃଶି ଦଇେ ଗଲା। ସେ ଗିଲିଯଦ ଦଇେ ମିସ୍ପୀକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଗଲେ ଓ ଏବଂ ଅେମ୍ମାନୀୟଙ୍କ ଦଇେ ଅତିକ୍ରମ କଲେ।

ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ପିତା ଓ ମାତାଙ୍କୁ ସମ୍ମାନ କର। ଏହିପରି କର ୟଦ୍ବାରା ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭର ପରମେଶ୍ବର ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଯେଉଁ ଦେଶ ଦବେେ ସହେି ଦେଶ ରେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଦୀର୍ଘ ପରମାଯୁ ହବେ।
1 Timothy 5:4
କିନ୍ତୁ ଯଦି ଜଣେ ବିଧବାର ପୁଅଝିଅ ବା ନାତିନାତୁଣୀ ଥାଏ, ସମାନେେ ପ୍ରଥମ ରେ ନିଜ ପରିବାର ପ୍ରତି ସମ୍ମାନଭାବ ଦଖାଇବୋ ଉଚିତ। ସମାନେେ ତାଙ୍କର ମାତାପିତାଙ୍କୁ ସାହାୟ୍ଯ କରିବା ଉଚିତ। ଏପରି କରିବା ଦ୍ବାରା ସମାନେେ ନିଜର ମାତାପିତା ଓ ପିତାମହ ଓ ମାତାମହୀଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରତିଦାନ କରି ଥାଆନ୍ତି। ତାହା ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରସନ୍ନ କରେ।
