जब रिबेका गर्भवती भइन्, उनले आफ्नो गर्भमा भएको शिशुबाट अत्यन्तै कष्ट सहनु पर्यो। उनको गर्भमा भएको शिशुहरू गर्भभित्रै आपसमा एका-अर्कामा लडाइँ गर्थे। रिबेकाले परमप्रभुसित प्रार्थना गरिन् अनि भनिन्, “मसित यस्तो किन भइरहेकोछ?”
