1 परमप्रभुले अब्रामलाई भन्नुभयो, “तिम्रो देश र तिम्रा मानिसहरूलाई छोड र मैले देखाएको देशमा जाऊ।
2 म तिमीलाई आशीर्वाद दिनेछु, तिमीबाट महान् राष्ट्र बनाएर प्रसिद्ध बनाउनेछु। तब मानिसहरूले अरूलाई आशीर्वाद दिदाँ तिम्रो नाउँ लिनेछन्।
3 म तिमीलाई आशीर्वाद दिने मानिसहरूलाई आशीर्वाद दिनेछु अनि तिमीलाई सराप दिनेहरूलाई सराप दिनेछु। पृथ्वीमा सबै मानिसहरूलाई आशीर्वाद दिनका लागि म तिम्रो नाउँ प्रयोग गर्नेछु।”
1 Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee:
2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee:
