וְאֵ֙לֶּה֙ Now these ʾēlle הַכֹּֽהֲנִ֣ים the priests kōhēn וְהַלְוִיִּ֔ם and the Levites lēwiyyî אֲשֶׁ֥ר that ʾăšer עָל֛וּ went up ʿālâ עִם with ʿim זְרֻבָּבֶ֥ל Zerubbabel zĕrubbābel בֶּן the son bēn שְׁאַלְתִּיאֵ֖ל of Shealtiel, šĕʾaltîʾēl וְיֵשׁ֑וּעַ and Jeshua: yēšûaʿ שְׂרָיָ֥ה Seraiah, śĕrāyâ יִרְמְיָ֖ה Jeremiah, yirmĕyâ עֶזְרָֽא׃ Ezra, ʿezrāʾ

אֲמַרְיָ֥ה Amariah, ʾămaryâ מַלּ֖וּךְ Malluch, mallûk חַטּֽוּשׁ׃ Hattush, ḥaṭṭûš

שְׁכַנְיָ֥ה Shechaniah, šĕkanyâ רְחֻ֖ם Rehum, rĕḥûm מְרֵמֹֽת׃ Meremoth, mĕrēmôt

עִדּ֥וֹא Iddo, ʿiddô גִנְּת֖וֹי Ginnetho, ginnĕtôn אֲבִיָּֽה׃ Abijah, ʾăbiyyâ

מִיָּמִ֥ין Miamin, miyyāmin מַֽעַדְיָ֖ה Maadiah, maʿădyâ בִּלְגָּֽה׃ Bilgah, bilga

שְׁמַֽעְיָ֥ה Shemaiah, šĕmaʿyâ וְיֽוֹיָרִ֖יב and Joiarib, yôyārîb יְדַֽעְיָֽה׃ Jedaiah, yĕdaʿyâ

סַלּ֣וּ Sallu, sallû עָמ֔וֹק Amok, ʿāmôq חִלְקִיָּ֖ה Hilkiah, ḥilqiyyâ יְדַֽעְיָ֑ה Jedaiah. yĕdaʿyâ אֵ֣לֶּה These ʾēlle רָאשֵׁ֧י the chief rōš הַכֹּֽהֲנִ֛ים of the priests kōhēn וַֽאֲחֵיהֶ֖ם and of their brethren ʾāḥ בִּימֵ֥י in the days yôm יֵשֽׁוּעַ׃ of Jeshua. yēšûaʿ

וְהַלְוִיִּ֗ם Moreover the Levites: lēwiyyî יֵשׁ֧וּעַ Jeshua, yēšûaʿ בִּנּ֛וּי Binnui, binnûy קַדְמִיאֵ֥ל Kadmiel, qadmîʾēl שֵׁרֵֽבְיָ֖ה Sherebiah, šērēbĕyâ יְהוּדָ֣ה Judah, yĕhûdâ מַתַּנְיָ֑ה Mattaniah, mattanyâ עַֽל over ʿal הֻיְּד֖וֹת the thanksgiving, huyyĕdâ ה֥וּא he hûʾ וְאֶחָֽיו׃ and his brethren. ʾāḥ

וּבַקְבֻּֽקְיָ֨ה Also Bakbukiah baqbuqyâ וְעֻנִּ֧ו and Unni, ʿunnî אֲחֵיהֶ֛ם their brethren, ʾāḥ לְנֶגְדָּ֖ם over against neged לְמִשְׁמָרֽוֹת׃ them in the watches. mišmeret

וְיֵשׁ֖וּעַ And Jeshua yēšûaʿ הוֹלִ֣יד begat yālad אֶת ʾēt יֽוֹיָקִ֑ים Joiakim, yôyāqîm וְיֽוֹיָקִים֙ Joiakim yôyāqîm הוֹלִ֣יד also begat yālad אֶת ʾēt אֶלְיָשִׁ֔יב Eliashib, ʾelyāšîb וְאֶלְיָשִׁ֖יב and Eliashib ʾelyāšîb אֶת begat ʾēt יֽוֹיָדָֽע׃ Joiada, yôyādāʿ

וְיֽוֹיָדָע֙ And Joiada yôyādāʿ הוֹלִ֣יד begat yālad אֶת ʾēt יֽוֹנָתָ֔ן Jonathan, yônātān וְיֽוֹנָתָ֖ן and Jonathan yônātān הוֹלִ֥יד begat yālad אֶת ʾēt יַדּֽוּעַ׃ Jaddua. yaddûaʿ

וּבִימֵי֙ And in the days yôm יֽוֹיָקִ֔ים of Joiakim yôyāqîm הָי֥וּ were hāyâ כֹֽהֲנִ֖ים priests, kōhēn רָאשֵׁ֣י the chief rōš הָֽאָב֑וֹת of the fathers: ʾāb לִשְׂרָיָ֣ה of Seraiah, śĕrāyâ מְרָיָ֔ה Meraiah; mĕrāyâ לְיִרְמְיָ֖ה of Jeremiah, yirmĕyâ חֲנַנְיָֽה׃ Hananiah; ḥănanyâ

לְעֶזְרָ֣א Of Ezra, ʿezrāʾ מְשֻׁלָּ֔ם Meshullam; mĕšullām לַֽאֲמַרְיָ֖ה of Amariah, ʾămaryâ יְהֽוֹחָנָֽן׃ Jehohanan; yĕhôḥānān

לִמְלִ֙וכיּ֙ Of Melicu, mallûk יֽוֹנָתָ֔ן Jonathan; yônātān לִשְׁבַנְיָ֖ה of Shebaniah, šĕbanyâ יוֹסֵֽף׃ Joseph; yôsēp

לְחָרִ֣ם Of Harim, ḥārim עַדְנָ֔א Adna; ʿadnāʾ לִמְרָי֖וֹת of Meraioth, mĕrāyôt חֶלְקָֽי׃ Helkai; ḥelqay

לְעִדּ֥יֹא Of Iddo, ʿiddô זְכַרְיָ֖ה Zechariah; zĕkaryâ לְגִנְּת֥וֹן of Ginnethon, ginnĕtôn מְשֻׁלָּֽם׃ Meshullam; mĕšullām

לַֽאֲבִיָּ֖ה Of Abijah, ʾăbiyyâ זִכְרִ֑י Zichri; zikrî לְמִ֨נְיָמִ֔ין of Miniamin, minyāmîn לְמֽוֹעַדְיָ֖ה of Moadiah, môʿadyâ פִּלְטָֽי׃ Piltai; pilṭay

לְבִלְגָּ֣ה Of Bilgah, bilga שַׁמּ֔וּעַ Shammua; šammûaʿ לִֽשְׁמַעְיָ֖ה of Shemaiah, šĕmaʿyâ יְהֽוֹנָתָֽן׃ Jehonathan; yĕhônātān

וּלְיֽוֹיָרִ֣יב And of Joiarib, yôyārîb מַתְּנַ֔י Mattenai; mattĕnay לִֽידַֽעְיָ֖ה of Jedaiah, yĕdaʿyâ עֻזִּֽי׃ Uzzi; ʿuzzî

לְסַלַּ֥י Of Sallai, sallû קַלָּ֖י Kallai; qallay לְעָמ֥וֹק of Amok, ʿāmôq עֵֽבֶר׃ Eber; ʿēbēr

לְחִלְקִיָּ֣ה Of Hilkiah, ḥilqiyyâ חֲשַׁבְיָ֔ה Hashabiah; ḥăšabyâ לִֽידַֽעְיָ֖ה of Jedaiah, yĕdaʿyâ נְתַנְאֵֽל׃ Nethaneel. nĕtanʾēl

הַלְוִיִּם֩ The Levites lēwiyyî בִּימֵ֨י in the days yôm אֶלְיָשִׁ֜יב of Eliashib, ʾelyāšîb יֽוֹיָדָ֤ע Joiada, yôyādāʿ וְיֽוֹחָנָן֙ and Johanan, yôḥānān וְיַדּ֔וּעַ and Jaddua, yaddûaʿ כְּתוּבִ֖ים recorded kātab רָאשֵׁ֣י chief rōš אָב֑וֹת of the fathers: ʾāb וְהַכֹּ֣הֲנִ֔ים also the priests, kōhēn עַל to ʿal מַלְכ֖וּת the reign malkût דָּֽרְיָ֥וֶשׁ of Darius dārĕyāwēš הַפָּֽרְסִֽי׃ the Persian. parsî

בְּנֵ֤י The sons bēn לֵוִי֙ of Levi, lēwî רָאשֵׁ֣י the chief rōš הָֽאָב֔וֹת of the fathers, ʾāb כְּתוּבִ֕ים written kātab עַל in ʿal סֵ֖פֶר the book sēper דִּבְרֵ֣י of the chronicles, dābār הַיָּמִ֑ים the days yôm וְעַד even until ʿad יְמֵ֖י yôm יֽוֹחָנָ֥ן of Johanan yôḥānān בֶּן the son bēn אֶלְיָשִֽׁיב׃ of Eliashib. ʾelyāšîb

וְרָאשֵׁ֣י And the chief rōš הַ֠לְוִיִּם of the Levites: lēwiyyî חֲשַׁבְיָ֨ה Hashabiah, ḥăšabyâ שֵֽׁרֵבְיָ֜ה Sherebiah, šērēbĕyâ וְיֵשׁ֤וּעַ and Jeshua yēšûaʿ בֶּן the son bēn קַדְמִיאֵל֙ of Kadmiel, qadmîʾēl וַֽאֲחֵיהֶ֣ם with their brethren ʾāḥ לְנֶגְדָּ֔ם over against neged לְהַלֵּ֣ל them, to praise hālal לְהוֹד֔וֹת to give thanks, yādâ בְּמִצְוַ֖ת according to the commandment miṣwâ דָּוִ֣יד of David dāwid אִישׁ the man ʾîš הָֽאֱלֹהִ֑ים of God, ʾĕlōhîm מִשְׁמָ֖ר ward mišmār לְעֻמַּ֥ת over against ʿummâ מִשְׁמָֽר׃ ward. mišmār

מַתַּנְיָ֧ה Mattaniah, mattanyâ וּבַקְבֻּֽקְיָ֛ה and Bakbukiah, baqbuqyâ עֹֽבַדְיָ֥ה Obadiah, ʿōbadyâ מְשֻׁלָּ֖ם Meshullam, mĕšullām טַלְמ֣וֹן Talmon, ṭalmôn עַקּ֑וּב Akkub, ʿaqqûb שֹֽׁמְרִ֤ים keeping šāmar שֽׁוֹעֲרִים֙ porters šôʿēr מִשְׁמָ֔ר the ward mišmār בַּֽאֲסֻפֵּ֖י at the thresholds ʾāsup הַשְּׁעָרִֽים׃ of the gates. šaʿar

אֵ֕לֶּה These ʾēlle בִּימֵ֛י in the days yôm יֽוֹיָקִ֥ים of Joiakim yôyāqîm בֶּן the son bēn יֵשׁ֖וּעַ of Jeshua, yēšûaʿ בֶּן the son bēn יֽוֹצָדָ֑ק of Jozadak, yôṣādāq וּבִימֵי֙ and in the days yôm נְחֶמְיָ֣ה of Nehemiah nĕḥemyâ הַפֶּחָ֔ה the governor, peḥâ וְעֶזְרָ֥א and of Ezra ʿezrāʾ הַכֹּהֵ֖ן the priest, kōhēn הַסּוֹפֵֽר׃ the scribe. sāpar

וּבַֽחֲנֻכַּ֞ת And at the dedication ḥănukkâ חוֹמַ֣ת of the wall ḥômâ יְרֽוּשָׁלִַ֗ם of Jerusalem yĕrûšālaim בִּקְשׁ֤וּ they sought bāqaš אֶת ʾēt הַלְוִיִּם֙ the Levites lēwiyyî מִכָּל out of all kōl מְק֣וֹמֹתָ֔ם their places, māqôm לַֽהֲבִיאָ֖ם to bring bôʾ לִֽירוּשָׁלִָ֑ם them to Jerusalem, yĕrûšālaim לַֽעֲשֹׂ֨ת to keep ʿāśâ חֲנֻכָּ֤ה the dedication ḥănukkâ וְשִׂמְחָה֙ with gladness, śimḥâ וּבְתוֹד֣וֹת both with thanksgivings, tôdâ וּבְשִׁ֔יר and with singing, šîr מְצִלְתַּ֖יִם cymbals, mĕṣēlet נְבָלִ֥ים psalteries, nebel וּבְכִנֹּרֽוֹת׃ and with harps. kinnôr

וַיֵּאָ֣סְפ֔וּ gathered themselves together, ʾāsap בְּנֵ֖י And the sons bēn הַמְשֹֽׁרְרִ֑ים of the singers šîr וּמִן both out of min הַכִּכָּר֙ the plain country kikkār סְבִיב֣וֹת round about sābîb יְרֽוּשָׁלִַ֔ם Jerusalem, yĕrûšālaim וּמִן and from min חַצְרֵ֖י the villages ḥāṣēr נְטֹֽפָתִֽי׃ of Netophathi; nĕṭōpātî

וּמִבֵּית֙ Also from the house bayit הַגִּלְגָּ֔ל of Gilgal, gilgāl וּמִשְּׂד֥וֹת and out of the fields śāde גֶּ֖בַע of Geba gebaʿ וְעַזְמָ֑וֶת and Azmaveth: ʿazmāwet כִּ֣י for kî חֲצֵרִ֗ים them villages ḥāṣēr בָּנ֤וּ had builded bānâ לָהֶם֙ hēm הַמְשֹׁ֣רֲרִ֔ים the singers šîr סְבִיב֖וֹת round about sābîb יְרֽוּשָׁלִָֽם׃ Jerusalem. yĕrûšālaim

וַיִּֽטַּהֲר֔וּ purified themselves, ṭāhēr הַכֹּֽהֲנִ֖ים And the priests kōhēn וְהַלְוִיִּ֑ם and the Levites lēwiyyî וַֽיְטַהֲרוּ֙ and purified ṭāhēr אֶת ʾēt הָעָ֔ם the people, ʿam וְאֶת ʾēt הַשְּׁעָרִ֖ים and the gates, šaʿar וְאֶֽת ʾēt הַחוֹמָֽה׃ and the wall. ḥômâ

וָאַֽעֲלֶה֙ Then I brought up ʿālâ אֶת ʾēt שָׂרֵ֣י the princes śar יְהוּדָ֔ה of Judah yĕhûdâ מֵעַ֖ל upon ʿal לַֽחוֹמָ֑ה the wall, ḥômâ וָאַֽעֲמִ֡ידָה and appointed ʿāmad שְׁתֵּ֣י two šĕnayim תוֹדֹת֩ thanks, tôdâ גְּדוֹלֹ֨ת great gādôl וְתַֽהֲלֻכֹ֤ת went tahălukâ לַיָּמִין֙ on the right hand yāmîn מֵעַ֣ל upon ʿal לַֽחוֹמָ֔ה the wall ḥômâ לְשַׁ֖עַר gate: šaʿar הָֽאַשְׁפֹּֽת׃ toward the dung ʾašpōt

וַיֵּ֤לֶךְ them went hālak אַֽחֲרֵיהֶם֙ And after ʾaḥar הוֹשַׁ֣עְיָ֔ה Hoshaiah, hôšaʿyâ וַֽחֲצִ֖י and half ḥēṣî שָׂרֵ֥י of the princes śar יְהוּדָֽה׃ of Judah, yĕhûdâ

וַֽעֲזַרְיָ֥ה And Azariah, ʿăzaryâ עֶזְרָ֖א Ezra, ʿezrāʾ וּמְשֻׁלָּֽם׃ and Meshullam, mĕšullām

יְהוּדָה֙ Judah, yĕhûdâ וּבִנְיָמִ֔ן and Benjamin, binyāmîn וּֽשְׁמַֽעְיָ֖ה and Shemaiah, šĕmaʿyâ וְיִרְמְיָֽה׃ and Jeremiah, yirmĕyâ

וּמִבְּנֵ֥י sons bēn הַכֹּֽהֲנִ֖ים And of the priests' kōhēn בַּחֲצֹֽצְר֑וֹת with trumpets; ḥăṣōṣĕrâ זְכַרְיָ֨ה Zechariah zĕkaryâ בֶן the son bēn יֽוֹנָתָ֜ן of Jonathan, yônātān בֶּן the son bēn שְׁמַֽעְיָ֗ה of Shemaiah, šĕmaʿyâ בֶּן the son bēn מַתַּנְיָה֙ of Mattaniah, mattanyâ בֶּן the son bēn מִ֣יכָיָ֔ה of Michaiah, mîkāyâ בֶּן the son bēn זַכּ֖וּר of Zaccur, zakkûr בֶּן the son bēn אָסָֽף׃ of Asaph: ʾāsāp

וְֽאֶחָ֡יו And his brethren, ʾāḥ שְֽׁמַעְיָ֡ה Shemaiah, šĕmaʿyâ וַֽעֲזַרְאֵ֡ל and Azarael, ʿăzarʾēl מִֽלֲלַ֡י Milalai, milălay גִּֽלֲלַ֡י Gilalai, gilălay מָעַ֞י Maai, māʿay נְתַנְאֵ֤ל Nethaneel, nĕtanʾēl וִֽיהוּדָה֙ and Judah, yĕhûdâ חֲנָ֔נִי Hanani, ḥănānî בִּכְלֵי instruments kĕlî שִׁ֥יר with the musical šîr דָּוִ֖יד of David dāwid אִ֣ישׁ the man ʾîš הָֽאֱלֹהִ֑ים of God, ʾĕlōhîm וְעֶזְרָ֥א and Ezra ʿezrāʾ הַסּוֹפֵ֖ר the scribe sāpar לִפְנֵיהֶֽם׃ before them. pānîm

וְעַל֩ And at ʿal שַׁ֨עַר gate, šaʿar הָעַ֜יִן the fountain ʿayin וְנֶגְדָּ֗ם which was over against neged עָלוּ֙ them, they went up ʿālâ עַֽל by ʿal מַעֲלוֹת֙ the stairs maʿălâ עִ֣יר of the city ʿîr דָּוִ֔יד of David, dāwid בַּֽמַּעֲלֶ֖ה at the going up maʿăle לַֽחוֹמָ֑ה of the wall, ḥômâ מֵעַל֙ above ʿal לְבֵ֣ית the house bayit דָּוִ֔יד of David, dāwid וְעַ֛ד even unto ʿad שַׁ֥עַר gate šaʿar הַמַּ֖יִם the water mayim מִזְרָֽח׃ eastward. mizrāḥ

וְהַתּוֹדָ֧ה thanks tôdâ הַשֵּׁנִ֛ית And the other šēnî הַֽהוֹלֶ֥כֶת went hālak לְמ֖וֹאל over against mûl וַֽאֲנִ֣י and I ʾănî אַֽחֲרֶ֑יהָ after ʾaḥar וַֽחֲצִ֨י them, and the half ḥēṣî הָעָ֜ם of the people ʿam מֵעַ֣ל upon ʿal לְהַֽחוֹמָ֗ה the wall, ḥômâ מֵעַל֙ from beyond ʿal לְמִגְדַּ֣ל the tower migdāl הַתַּנּוּרִ֔ים of the furnaces tannûr וְעַ֖ד even unto ʿad הַֽחוֹמָ֥ה wall; ḥômâ הָֽרְחָבָֽה׃ the broad rāḥāb

וּמֵעַ֣ל And from above ʿal לְשַֽׁעַר the gate šaʿar אֶ֠פְרַיִם of Ephraim, ʾeprayim וְעַל and above ʿal שַׁ֨עַר gate, šaʿar הַיְשָׁנָ֜ה the old yāšān וְעַל and above ʿal שַׁ֣עַר gate, šaʿar הַדָּגִ֗ים the fish dāg וּמִגְדַּ֤ל and the tower migdāl חֲנַנְאֵל֙ of Hananeel, ḥănanʾēl וּמִגְדַּ֣ל and the tower migdāl הַמֵּאָ֔ה of Meah, mēʾâ וְעַ֖ד even unto ʿad שַׁ֣עַר gate: šaʿar הַצֹּ֑אן the sheep ṣōn וְעָ֣מְד֔וּ and they stood still ʿāmad בְּשַׁ֖עַר gate. šaʿar הַמַּטָּרָֽה׃ in the prison maṭṭārāʾ

וַֽתַּעֲמֹ֛דְנָה So stood ʿāmad שְׁתֵּ֥י the two šĕnayim הַתּוֹדֹ֖ת thanks tôdâ בְּבֵ֣ית in the house bayit הָֽאֱלֹהִ֑ים of God, ʾĕlōhîm וַֽאֲנִ֕י and I, ʾănî וַֽחֲצִ֥י and the half ḥēṣî הַסְּגָנִ֖ים of the rulers sāgān עִמִּֽי׃ with me: ʿim

וְהַכֹּֽהֲנִ֡ים And the priests; kōhēn אֶלְיָקִ֡ים Eliakim, ʾelyāqîm מַֽעֲשֵׂיָ֡ה Maaseiah, maʿăśēyâ מִ֠נְיָמִין Miniamin, minyāmîn מִֽיכָיָ֧ה Michaiah, mîkāyâ אֶלְיֽוֹעֵינַ֛י Elioenai, ʾelyĕhôʿênay זְכַרְיָ֥ה Zechariah, zĕkaryâ חֲנַנְיָ֖ה Hananiah, ḥănanyâ בַּחֲצֹֽצְרֽוֹת׃ with trumpets; ḥăṣōṣĕrâ

וּמַֽעֲשֵׂיָ֨ה And Maaseiah, maʿăśēyâ וּֽשְׁמַֽעְיָ֜ה and Shemaiah, šĕmaʿyâ וְאֶלְעָזָ֧ר and Eleazar, ʾelʿāzār וְעֻזִּ֛י and Uzzi, ʿuzzî וִֽיהוֹחָנָ֥ן and Jehohanan, yĕhôḥānān וּמַלְכִּיָּ֖ה and Malchijah, malkiyyâ וְעֵילָ֣ם and Elam, ʿêlām וָעָ֑זֶר and Ezer. ʿēzer וַיַּשְׁמִ֙יעוּ֙ sang loud, šāmaʿ הַמְשֹׁ֣רְרִ֔ים And the singers šîr וְיִֽזְרַחְיָ֖ה with Jezrahiah yizraḥyâ הַפָּקִֽיד׃ overseer. pāqîd

וַיִּזְבְּח֣וּ they offered zābaḥ בַיּוֹם day yôm הַ֠הוּא Also that hûʾ זְבָחִ֨ים sacrifices, zebaḥ גְּדוֹלִ֜ים great gādôl וַיִּשְׂמָ֗חוּ and rejoiced: śāmaḥ כִּ֤י for kî הָֽאֱלֹהִים֙ God ʾĕlōhîm שִׂמְּחָם֙ had made them rejoice śāmaḥ שִׂמְחָ֣ה joy: śimḥâ גְדוֹלָ֔ה with great gādôl וְגַ֧ם also gam הַנָּשִׁ֛ים the wives ʾiššâ וְהַיְלָדִ֖ים and the children yeled שָׂמֵ֑חוּ rejoiced: śāmaḥ וַתִּשָּׁמַ֛ע was heard šāmaʿ שִׂמְחַ֥ת so that the joy śimḥâ יְרֽוּשָׁלִַ֖ם of Jerusalem yĕrûšālaim מֵֽרָחֽוֹק׃ even afar off. rāḥôq

וַיִּפָּֽקְד֣וּ appointed pāqad בַיּוֹם֩ time yôm הַה֨וּא And at that hûʾ אֲנָשִׁ֜ים were some ʾîš עַל over ʿal הַנְּשָׁכ֗וֹת the chambers niškâ לָא֨וֹצָר֥וֹת for the treasures, ʾôṣār לַתְּרוּמוֹת֮ for the offerings, tĕrûmâ לָֽרֵאשִׁ֣ית for the firstfruits, rēʾšît וְלַמַּֽעַשְׂרוֹת֒ and for the tithes, maʿăśēr לִכְנ֨וֹס to gather kānas בָּהֶ֜ם לִשְׂדֵ֤י into them out of the fields śāde הֶֽעָרִים֙ of the cities ʿîr מְנָא֣וֹת the portions mĕnāt הַתּוֹרָ֔ה of the law tôrâ לַכֹּֽהֲנִ֖ים for the priests kōhēn וְלַלְוִיִּ֑ם and Levites: lēwiyyî כִּ֚י for kî שִׂמְחַ֣ת rejoiced śimḥâ יְהוּדָ֔ה Judah yĕhûdâ עַל for ʿal הַכֹּֽהֲנִ֥ים the priests kōhēn וְעַל and for ʿal הַלְוִיִּ֖ם the Levites lēwiyyî הָעֹֽמְדִֽים׃ that waited. ʿāmad

וַֽיִּשְׁמְר֞וּ kept šāmar מִשְׁמֶ֤רֶת the ward mišmeret אֱלֹֽהֵיהֶם֙ of their God, ʾĕlōhîm וּמִשְׁמֶ֣רֶת and the ward mišmeret הַֽטָּהֳרָ֔ה of the purification, ṭohŏrâ וְהַמְשֹֽׁרְרִ֖ים And both the singers šîr וְהַשֹּֽׁעֲרִ֑ים and the porters šôʿēr כְּמִצְוַ֥ת according to the commandment miṣwâ דָּוִ֖יד of David, dāwid שְׁלֹמֹ֥ה of Solomon šĕlōmō בְנֽוֹ׃ his son. bēn

כִּֽי For kî בִימֵ֥י in the days yôm דָוִ֛יד of David dāwid וְאָסָ֖ף and Asaph ʾāsāp מִקֶּ֑דֶם of old qedem רָאשֵׁ֙ chief rōš הַמְשֹׁ֣רְרִ֔ים of the singers, šîr וְשִׁיר and songs šîr תְּהִלָּ֥ה of praise tĕhillâ וְהֹד֖וֹת and thanksgiving yādâ לֵֽאלֹהִֽים׃ unto God. ʾĕlōhîm

וְכָל And all kōl יִשְׂרָאֵל֩ Israel yiśrāʾēl בִּימֵ֨י in the days yôm זְרֻבָּבֶ֜ל of Zerubbabel, zĕrubbābel וּבִימֵ֣י and in the days yôm נְחֶמְיָ֗ה of Nehemiah, nĕḥemyâ נֹֽתְנִ֛ים gave nātan מְנָי֛וֹת the portions mĕnāt הַמְשֹֽׁרְרִ֥ים of the singers šîr וְהַשֹּֽׁעֲרִ֖ים and the porters, šôʿēr דְּבַר his portion: dābār י֣וֹם every day yôm בְּיוֹמ֑וֹ yôm וּמַקְדִּשִׁים֙ and they sanctified qādaš לַלְוִיִּ֔ם unto the Levites; lēwiyyî וְהַלְוִיִּ֔ם and the Levites lēwiyyî מַקְדִּשִׁ֖ים sanctified qādaš לִבְנֵ֥י unto the children bēn אַֽהֲרֹֽן׃ of Aaron. ʾahărôn
