ആ മാസം പതിന്നാലാം തിയ്യതിയോ അവർ വിശ്രമിച്ചു വിരുന്നും സന്തോഷവുമുള്ള ദിവസമായിട്ടു അതിനെ ആചരിച്ചു.

അങ്ങനെ ഒന്നാം മാസം പതിമ്മൂന്നാം തിയ്യതി രാജാവിന്റെ രായസക്കാരെ വിളിച്ചു; ഹാമാൻ കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ ഒക്കെയും അവർ രാജപ്രതിനിധികൾക്കും ഓരോ സംസ്ഥാനത്തിലെ ദേശാധിപധികൾക്കും അതതു ജനത്തിന്റെ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാർക്കും അതതു സംസ്ഥാനത്തിലേക്കു അവിടത്തെ അക്ഷരത്തിലും അതതു ജനത്തിന്നും അവരുടെ ഭാഷയിലും എഴുതി; അഹശ്വേരോശ്‌രാജാവിന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ അതെഴുതി രാജമോതിരംകൊണ്ടു മുദ്ര ഇട്ടു.

അങ്ങനെ സീവാൻ മാസമായ മൂന്നാം മാസം ഇരുപത്തിമൂന്നാം തിയ്യതി തന്നേ രാജാവിന്റെ രായസക്കാരെ വിളിച്ചു; മെർദ്ദെഖായി കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ ഒക്കെയും അവർ യെഹൂദന്മാർക്കു ഹിന്തുദേശം മുതൽ കൂശ്വരെയുള്ള നൂറ്റിരുപത്തേഴു സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളിലെ രാജപ്രതിനിധികൾക്കും ദേശാധിപതിമാർക്കും സംസ്ഥാനപ്രഭുക്കന്മാർക്കും അതതു സംസ്ഥാനത്തിലേക്കു അവിടത്തെ അക്ഷരത്തിലും അതതു ജാതിക്കു അതതു ഭാഷയിലും യെഹൂദന്മാർക്കു അവരുടെ അക്ഷരത്തിലും ഭാഷയിലും എഴുതി.

ശൂശനിലെ യെഹൂദന്മാർ ആ മാസം പതിമ്മൂന്നാം തിയ്യതിയും പതിന്നാലാം തിയ്യതിയും ഒന്നിച്ചുകൂടി; പതിനഞ്ചാം തിയ്യതി അവർ വിശ്രമിച്ചു അതിനെ വിരുന്നും സന്തോഷവുമുള്ള ദിവസമായിട്ടു ആചരിച്ചു.
