നേരം വൈകുംമുമ്പേ ജനമെല്ലാം ദാവീദിനെ ഭക്ഷണം കഴിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു വന്നപ്പോൾ: സൂര്യൻ അസ്തമിക്കും മുമ്പെ ഞാൻ അപ്പം എങ്കിലും മറ്റു യാതൊന്നെങ്കിലും ആസ്വദിച്ചാൽ ദൈവം എന്നോടു തക്കവണ്ണവും അധികവും ചെയ്യട്ടെ എന്നു ദാവീദ് സത്യം ചെയ്തു പറഞ്ഞു.

day, הַיּ֑וֹם yôm yome
sware, וַיִּשָּׁבַ֨ע šābaʿ sha-VA
David דָּוִ֜ד dāwid da-VEED
saying, לֵאמֹ֗ר ʾāmar ah-MAHR
So כֹּ֣ה koh
do יַֽעֲשֶׂה ʿāśâ ah-SA
לִּ֤י
God אֱלֹהִים֙ ʾĕlōhîm ay-loh-HEEM
וְכֹ֣ה koh
to me, and more also, יֹסִ֔יף yāsap ya-SAHF
if כִּ֣י kee
אִם ʾim eem
till לִפְנֵ֧י pānîm pa-NEEM
be down. בֽוֹא bôʾ boh
the sun הַשֶּׁ֛מֶשׁ šemeš sheh-MESH
I taste אֶטְעַם ṭāʿam ta-AM
bread, לֶ֖חֶם leḥem leh-HEM
or א֥וֹ ʾô oh
else, כָל kōl kole
ought מְאֽוּמָה׃ mĕʾûmâ meh-oo-MA
