Malachi 2
1 ഇപ്പോഴോ പുരോഹിതന്മാരേ, ഈ ആജ്ഞ നിങ്ങളോടു ആകുന്നു.
2 നിങ്ങൾ കേട്ടനുസരിക്കയും എന്റെ നാമത്തിന്നു മഹത്വം കൊടുപ്പാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം മനസ്സുവെക്കുകയും ചെയ്യാഞ്ഞാൽ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ മേൽ ശാപം അയച്ചു നിങ്ങൾക്കുള്ള അനുഗ്രഹങ്ങളെയും ശപിക്കും എന്നു സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു; അതേ, നിങ്ങൾ മനസ്സു വെക്കായ്കകൊണ്ടു ഞാൻ അവയെ ശപിച്ചുമിരിക്കുന്നു.
3 ഞാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്കുള്ള സന്തതിയെ ഭർത്സിക്കയും ചാണകം, നിങ്ങളുടെ ഉത്സവങ്ങളിലെ ചാണകം തന്നേ, നിങ്ങളുടെ മുഖത്തു വിതറുകയും അവർ നിങ്ങളെ അതിനോടുകൂടെ കൊണ്ടുപോകയും ചെയ്യും.
4 ലേവിയോടുള്ള എന്റെ നിയമം നിലനില്പാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം ഞാൻ ഈ ആജ്ഞ നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കൽ അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ അറിയും എന്നു സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.
5 അവനോടുള്ള എന്റെ നിയമം ജീവനും സമാധാനവുമായിരുന്നു; അവൻ ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാൻ അവന്നു അവയെ കൊടുത്തു; അവൻ എന്നെ ഭയപ്പെട്ടു എന്റെ നാമംനിമിത്തം വിറെക്കയും ചെയ്തു.
6 നേരുള്ള ഉപദേശം അവന്റെ വായിൽ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; നീതികേടു അവന്റെ അധരങ്ങളിൽ കണ്ടതുമില്ല; സമാധാനമായും പരമാർത്ഥമായും അവൻ എന്നോടുകൂടെ നടന്നു പലരെയും അകൃത്യം വിട്ടുതിരിയുമാറാക്കി;
7 പുരോഹിതൻ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയുടെ ദൂതനാകയാൽ അവന്റെ അധരങ്ങൾ പരിജ്ഞാനം സൂക്ഷിച്ചുവെക്കേണ്ടതും ഉപദേശം അവനോടു ചോദിച്ചു പഠിക്കേണ്ടതും അല്ലോ.
8 നിങ്ങളോ വഴി വിട്ടുമാറി പലരെയും ഉപദേശത്താൽ ഇടറുമാറാക്കി ലേവിയുടെ നിയമം നശിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.
9 അങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങൾ എന്റെ വഴികളെ പ്രമാണിക്കാതെ ന്യായപാലനത്തിൽ പക്ഷഭേദം കാണിച്ചതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാനും നിങ്ങളെ സകലജനത്തിന്നും നിന്ദിതരും നീചരുമാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
1 And now, O ye priests, this commandment is for you.
2 If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the Lord of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart.
3 Behold, I will corrupt your seed, and spread dung upon your faces, even the dung of your solemn feasts; and one shall take you away with it.
4 And ye shall know that I have sent this commandment unto you, that my covenant might be with Levi, saith the Lord of hosts.
5 My covenant was with him of life and peace; and I gave them to him for the fear wherewith he feared me, and was afraid before my name.
6 The law of truth was in his mouth, and iniquity was not found in his lips: he walked with me in peace and equity, and did turn many away from iniquity.
7 For the priest’s lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the law at his mouth: for he is the messenger of the Lord of hosts.
8 But ye are departed out of the way; ye have caused many to stumble at the law; ye have corrupted the covenant of Levi, saith the Lord of hosts.
9 Therefore have I also made you contemptible and base before all the people, according as ye have not kept my ways, but have been partial in the law.

1 ഇപ്പോഴോ പുരോഹിതന്മാരേ, ഈ ആജ്ഞ നിങ്ങളോടു ആകുന്നു.
And now, O ye priests, this commandment is for you.

7 പുരോഹിതൻ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയുടെ ദൂതനാകയാൽ അവന്റെ അധരങ്ങൾ പരിജ്ഞാനം സൂക്ഷിച്ചുവെക്കേണ്ടതും ഉപദേശം അവനോടു ചോദിച്ചു പഠിക്കേണ്ടതും അല്ലോ.

8 നിങ്ങളോ വഴി വിട്ടുമാറി പലരെയും ഉപദേശത്താൽ ഇടറുമാറാക്കി ലേവിയുടെ നിയമം നശിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.

9 അങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങൾ എന്റെ വഴികളെ പ്രമാണിക്കാതെ ന്യായപാലനത്തിൽ പക്ഷഭേദം കാണിച്ചതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാനും നിങ്ങളെ സകലജനത്തിന്നും നിന്ദിതരും നീചരുമാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
Therefore have I also made you contemptible and base before all the people, according as ye have not kept my ways, but have been partial in the law.
