Exodus 33
1 അനന്തരം യഹോവ മോശെയോടു കല്പിച്ചതു എന്തെന്നാൽ നീയും മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുനിന്നു നീ കൊണ്ടുവന്ന ജനവും ഇവിടെ നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു, നിന്റെ സന്തതിക്കു കൊടുക്കുമെന്നു ഞാൻ അബ്രാഹാമിനോടും യിസ്ഹാക്കിനോടും യാക്കോബിനോടും സത്യംചെയ്ത ദേശത്തേക്കു,
2 പാലും തേനും ഒഴുകുന്ന ദേശത്തേക്കു, തന്നേ, പോകുവിൻ. ഞാൻ ഒരു ദൂതനെ നിനക്കു മുമ്പായി അയക്കും; കനാന്യൻ, അമോർയ്യൻ, ഹിത്യൻ, പെരിസ്യൻ, ഹിവ്യൻ, യെബൂസ്യൻ എന്നിവരെ ഞാൻ ഓടിച്ചുകളയും.
3 വഴിയിൽവെച്ചു ഞാൻ നിന്നെ നശിപ്പിക്കാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാൻ നിന്റെ നടുവിൽ നടക്കയില്ല; നീ ദുശ്ശാഠ്യമുള്ള ജനം ആകുന്നു.
4 ദോഷകരമായ ഈ വചനം കേട്ടപ്പോൾ ജനം ദുഃഖിച്ചു; ആരും തന്റെ ആഭരണം ധരിച്ചതുമില്ല.
5 നിങ്ങൾ ദുശ്ശാഠ്യമുള്ള ജനം ആകുന്നു; ഞാൻ ഒരു നിമിഷനേരം നിന്റെ നടുവിൽ നടന്നാൽ നിന്നെ സംഹരിച്ചുകളയും; അതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു എന്തു ചെയ്യേണം എന്നു അറിയേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ നിന്റെ ആഭരണം നീക്കിക്കളക എന്നിങ്ങനെ യിസ്രായേൽ മക്കളോടു പറക എന്നു യഹോവ മോശെയോടു കല്പിച്ചിരുന്നു.
6 അങ്ങനെ ഹോരേബ് പർവ്വതത്തിങ്കൽ തുടങ്ങി യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾ ആഭരണം ധരിച്ചില്ല.
1 And the Lord said unto Moses, Depart, and go up hence, thou and the people which thou hast brought up out of the land of Egypt, unto the land which I sware unto Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying, Unto thy seed will I give it:
2 And I will send an angel before thee; and I will drive out the Canaanite, the Amorite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite:
3 Unto a land flowing with milk and honey: for I will not go up in the midst of thee; for thou art a stiffnecked people: lest I consume thee in the way.
4 And when the people heard these evil tidings, they mourned: and no man did put on him his ornaments.
5 For the Lord had said unto Moses, Say unto the children of Israel, Ye are a stiffnecked people: I will come up into the midst of thee in a moment, and consume thee: therefore now put off thy ornaments from thee, that I may know what to do unto thee.
6 And the children of Israel stripped themselves of their ornaments by the mount Horeb.

2 പാലും തേനും ഒഴുകുന്ന ദേശത്തേക്കു, തന്നേ, പോകുവിൻ. ഞാൻ ഒരു ദൂതനെ നിനക്കു മുമ്പായി അയക്കും; കനാന്യൻ, അമോർയ്യൻ, ഹിത്യൻ, പെരിസ്യൻ, ഹിവ്യൻ, യെബൂസ്യൻ എന്നിവരെ ഞാൻ ഓടിച്ചുകളയും.

For the Lord had said unto Moses, Say unto the children of Israel, Ye are a stiffnecked people: I will come up into the midst of thee in a moment, and consume thee: therefore now put off thy ornaments from thee, that I may know what to do unto thee.
6 അങ്ങനെ ഹോരേബ് പർവ്വതത്തിങ്കൽ തുടങ്ങി യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾ ആഭരണം ധരിച്ചില്ല.
