Ecclesiastes 4
9 ഒരുവനെക്കാൾ ഇരുവർ ഏറെ നല്ലതു; അവർക്കു തങ്ങളുടെ പ്രയത്നത്താൽ നല്ല പ്രതിഫലം കിട്ടുന്നു.
10 വീണാൽ ഒരുവൻ മറ്റേവനെ എഴുന്നേല്പിക്കും; ഏകാകി വീണാലോ അവനെ എഴുന്നേല്പിപ്പാൻ ആരുമില്ലായ്കകൊണ്ടു അവന്നു അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം!
11 രണ്ടുപേർ ഒന്നിച്ചു കിടന്നാൽ അവർക്കു കുളിർ മാറും; ഒരുത്തൻ തന്നേ ആയാലോ എങ്ങനെ കുളിർ മാറും?
12 ഒരുത്തനെ ആരെങ്കിലും ആക്രമിച്ചാൽ രണ്ടുപേർക്കും അവനോടു എതിർത്തുനിൽക്കാം; മുപ്പിരിച്ചരടു വേഗത്തിൽ അറ്റുപോകയില്ല.
9 Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour.
10 For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up.
11 Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone?
12 And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.
