13 പ്രബോധനം കൈക്കൊള്ളാത്ത വൃദ്ധനും മൂഢനുമായ ഒരു രാജാവിനെക്കാൾ ദരിദ്രനും ജ്ഞാനിയുമായ ഒരു ബാലൻ കൊള്ളാം.
14 അവൻ മറ്റേവന്റെ രാജ്യത്തിൽ ദരിദ്രനായി ജനിച്ചിട്ടും രാജാവായി വാഴേണ്ടതിന്നു കാരാഗൃഹത്തിൽ നിന്നു വരുന്നു.
15 മറ്റേവന്നു പകരം എഴുന്നേറ്റ ബാലന്റെ പക്ഷം സൂര്യന്നു കീഴെ സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്ന ജീവനുള്ളവർ ഒക്കെയും ചേർന്നിരിക്കുന്നതു ഞാൻ കണ്ടു.
13 Better is a poor and a wise child than an old and foolish king, who will no more be admonished.
14 For out of prison he cometh to reign; whereas also he that is born in his kingdom becometh poor.
15 I considered all the living which walk under the sun, with the second child that shall stand up in his stead.
