Ecclesiastes 4
1 പിന്നെയും ഞാൻ സൂര്യന്നു കീഴെ നടക്കുന്ന പീഡനങ്ങളെയെല്ലാം കണ്ടു; പീഡിതന്മാർ കണ്ണുനീരൊഴുക്കുന്നു; അവർക്കു ആശ്വാസപ്രദൻ ഇല്ല; അവരെ പീഡിപ്പിക്കുന്നവരുടെ കയ്യാൽ അവർ ബലാൽക്കാരം അനുഭവിക്കുന്നു; എന്നിട്ടും ആശ്വാസപ്രദൻ അവർക്കില്ല.
2 ആകയാൽ ഇപ്പോൾ ജീവനോടിരിക്കുന്ന ജീവനുള്ളവരെക്കാൾ മുമ്പെ തന്നേ മരിച്ചുപോയിരിക്കുന്ന മൃതന്മാരെ ഞാൻ പ്രശംസിച്ചു.
3 ഈ രണ്ടു വകക്കാരെക്കാളും ഇതുവരെ ജനിക്കാത്തവനും സൂര്യന്നു കീഴെ നടക്കുന്ന ദുഷ്പ്രവൃത്തിയെ കാണാത്തവനുമായ മനുഷ്യൻ ഭാഗ്യവാൻ.
1 So I returned, and considered all the oppressions that are done under the sun: and behold the tears of such as were oppressed, and they had no comforter; and on the side of their oppressors there was power; but they had no comforter.
2 Wherefore I praised the dead which are already dead more than the living which are yet alive.
3 Yea, better is he than both they, which hath not yet been, who hath not seen the evil work that is done under the sun.
