Deuteronomy 5
22 ഈ വചനങ്ങൾ യഹോവ പർവ്വതത്തിൽ തീ, മേഘം, അന്ധകാരം എന്നിവയുടെ നടുവിൽനിന്നു നിങ്ങളുടെ സർവ്വസഭയോടും അത്യുച്ചത്തിൽ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു; ഇതിന്നപ്പുറം ഒന്നും കല്പിച്ചില്ല; അവ രണ്ടു കല്പലകയിൽ എഴുതി എന്റെ പക്കൽ തന്നു.
23 എന്നാൽ പർവ്വതം തീ കാളിക്കത്തിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കയിൽ അന്ധകാരത്തിന്റെ നടുവിൽ നിന്നുള്ള ശബ്ദംകേട്ടപ്പോൾ നിങ്ങൾ നിങ്ങളുടെ സകല ഗോത്രത്തലവന്മാരും മൂപ്പന്മാരുമായി എന്റെ അടുക്കൽവന്നു പറഞ്ഞതു.
24 ഞങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ തന്റെ തേജസ്സും മഹത്വവും ഞങ്ങളെ കാണിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ; തീയുടെ നടുവിൽനിന്നു അവന്റെ ശബ്ദം ഞങ്ങൾ കേട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; ദൈവം മനുഷ്യരോടു സംസാരിച്ചിട്ടും അവർ ജീവനോടിരിക്കുമെന്നു ഞങ്ങൾ ഇന്നു കണ്ടുമിരിക്കുന്നു.
25 ആകയാൽ ഞങ്ങൾ എന്തിന്നു മരിക്കുന്നു? ഈ മഹത്തായ തീക്കു ഞങ്ങൾ ഇരയായ്തീരും; ഞങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ ശബ്ദം ഇനിയും കേട്ടാൽ ഞങ്ങൾ മരിച്ചുപോകും.
26 ഞങ്ങളെപ്പോലെ യാതൊരു ജഡമെങ്കിലും തീയുടെ നടുവിൽനിന്നു സംസാരിക്കുന്ന ജീവനുള്ള ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ശബ്ദം കേട്ടിട്ടു ജീവനോടെ ഇരുന്നിട്ടുണ്ടോ?
27 നീ അടുത്തുചെന്നു നമ്മുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നതു ഒക്കെയും കേൾക്ക; നമ്മുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിന്നോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നതു ഒക്കെയും ഞങ്ങളോടു പറക: ഞങ്ങൾ കേട്ടു അനുസരിച്ചുകൊള്ളാം.
22 These words the Lord spake unto all your assembly in the mount out of the midst of the fire, of the cloud, and of the thick darkness, with a great voice: and he added no more. And he wrote them in two tables of stone, and delivered them unto me.
23 And it came to pass, when ye heard the voice out of the midst of the darkness, (for the mountain did burn with fire,) that ye came near unto me, even all the heads of your tribes, and your elders;
24 And ye said, Behold, the Lord our God hath shewed us his glory and his greatness, and we have heard his voice out of the midst of the fire: we have seen this day that God doth talk with man, and he liveth.
25 Now therefore why should we die? for this great fire will consume us: if we hear the voice of the Lord our God any more, then we shall die.
26 For who is there of all flesh, that hath heard the voice of the living God speaking out of the midst of the fire, as we have, and lived?
27 Go thou near, and hear all that the Lord our God shall say: and speak thou unto us all that the Lord our God shall speak unto thee; and we will hear it, and do it.

23 എന്നാൽ പർവ്വതം തീ കാളിക്കത്തിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കയിൽ അന്ധകാരത്തിന്റെ നടുവിൽ നിന്നുള്ള ശബ്ദംകേട്ടപ്പോൾ നിങ്ങൾ നിങ്ങളുടെ സകല ഗോത്രത്തലവന്മാരും മൂപ്പന്മാരുമായി എന്റെ അടുക്കൽവന്നു പറഞ്ഞതു.

And ye said, Behold, the Lord our God hath shewed us his glory and his greatness, and we have heard his voice out of the midst of the fire: we have seen this day that God doth talk with man, and he liveth.
25 ആകയാൽ ഞങ്ങൾ എന്തിന്നു മരിക്കുന്നു? ഈ മഹത്തായ തീക്കു ഞങ്ങൾ ഇരയായ്തീരും; ഞങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ ശബ്ദം ഇനിയും കേട്ടാൽ ഞങ്ങൾ മരിച്ചുപോകും.
Now therefore why should we die? for this great fire will consume us: if we hear the voice of the Lord our God any more, then we shall die.
26 ഞങ്ങളെപ്പോലെ യാതൊരു ജഡമെങ്കിലും തീയുടെ നടുവിൽനിന്നു സംസാരിക്കുന്ന ജീവനുള്ള ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ശബ്ദം കേട്ടിട്ടു ജീവനോടെ ഇരുന്നിട്ടുണ്ടോ?
For who is there of all flesh, that hath heard the voice of the living God speaking out of the midst of the fire, as we have, and lived?
27 നീ അടുത്തുചെന്നു നമ്മുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നതു ഒക്കെയും കേൾക്ക; നമ്മുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിന്നോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നതു ഒക്കെയും ഞങ്ങളോടു പറക: ഞങ്ങൾ കേട്ടു അനുസരിച്ചുകൊള്ളാം.
Go thou near, and hear all that the Lord our God shall say: and speak thou unto us all that the Lord our God shall speak unto thee; and we will hear it, and do it.
