Amos 6
9 ഒരു വീട്ടിൽ പത്തു പുരുഷന്മാർ ശേഷിച്ചിരുന്നാലും അവർ മരിക്കും;
10 ഒരു മനുഷ്യന്റെ ചാർച്ചക്കാരൻ, അവനെ ദഹിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടുന്നവൻ തന്നേ, അവന്റെ അസ്ഥികളെ വീട്ടിൽനിന്നു നീക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവനെ ചുമന്നുകൊണ്ടു പോകുമ്പോൾ അവൻ വീട്ടിന്റെ അകത്തെ മൂലയിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നവനോടു: നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ഇനി വല്ലവരും ഉണ്ടോ? എന്നു ചോദിക്കുന്നതിന്നു അവൻ: ആരുമില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞാൽ അവൻ: യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തെ കീർത്തിച്ചുകൂടായ്കയാൽ നീ മിണ്ടാതിരിക്ക എന്നു പറയും.
11 യഹോവ കല്പിച്ചിട്ടു വലിയ വീടു ഇടിഞ്ഞും ചെറിയ വീടു പിളർന്നും തകർന്നുപോകും.
12 കുതിര പാറമേൽ ഓടുമോ? അവിടെ കാളയെ പൂട്ടു ഉഴുമോ? എന്നാൽ നിങ്ങൾ ന്യായത്തെ നഞ്ചായും നീതിഫലത്തെ കാഞ്ഞിരമായും മാറ്റിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
13 നിങ്ങൾ മിത്ഥ്യാവസ്തുവിൽ സന്തോഷിച്ചുംകൊണ്ടു: സ്വന്തശക്തിയാൽ ഞങ്ങൾ പ്രാബല്യം പ്രാപിച്ചിട്ടില്ലയോ എന്നു പറയുന്നു.
9 And it shall come to pass, if there remain ten men in one house, that they shall die.
10 And a man’s uncle shall take him up, and he that burneth him, to bring out the bones out of the house, and shall say unto him that is by the sides of the house, Is there yet any with thee? and he shall say, No. Then shall he say, Hold thy tongue: for we may not make mention of the name of the Lord.
11 For, behold, the Lord commandeth, and he will smite the great house with breaches, and the little house with clefts.
12 Shall horses run upon the rock? will one plow there with oxen? for ye have turned judgment into gall, and the fruit of righteousness into hemlock:
13 Ye which rejoice in a thing of nought, which say, Have we not taken to us horns by our own strength?

10 ഒരു മനുഷ്യന്റെ ചാർച്ചക്കാരൻ, അവനെ ദഹിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടുന്നവൻ തന്നേ, അവന്റെ അസ്ഥികളെ വീട്ടിൽനിന്നു നീക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവനെ ചുമന്നുകൊണ്ടു പോകുമ്പോൾ അവൻ വീട്ടിന്റെ അകത്തെ മൂലയിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നവനോടു: നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ഇനി വല്ലവരും ഉണ്ടോ? എന്നു ചോദിക്കുന്നതിന്നു അവൻ: ആരുമില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞാൽ അവൻ: യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തെ കീർത്തിച്ചുകൂടായ്കയാൽ നീ മിണ്ടാതിരിക്ക എന്നു പറയും.
