Amos 1
11 യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: എദോമിന്റെ മൂന്നോ നാലോ അതിക്രമംനിമിത്തം, അവൻ തന്റെ സഹോദരനെ വാളോടുകൂടെ പിന്തുടർന്നു, തന്റെ കോപം സദാകാലം കടിച്ചുകീറുവാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം സഹതാപം വിട്ടുകളകയും ദ്വേഷ്യം സദാകാലം വെച്ചുകൊൾകയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കയാൽ, ഞാൻ ശിക്ഷ മടക്കിക്കളകയില്ല.
12 ഞാൻ തേമാനിൽ ഒരു തീ അയക്കും; അതു ബൊസ്രയിലെ അരമനകളെ ദഹിപ്പിച്ചുകളയും.
11 Thus saith the Lord; For three transgressions of Edom, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because he did pursue his brother with the sword, and did cast off all pity, and his anger did tear perpetually, and he kept his wrath for ever:
12 But I will send a fire upon Teman, which shall devour the palaces of Bozrah.
