6 എന്നാറെ ദാവീദ് അബീശായിയോടു: അബ്ശാലോം ചെയ്തതിനെക്കാളും ബിക്രിയുടെ മകനായ ശേബ ഇപ്പോൾ നമുക്കു അധികം ദോഷം ചെയ്യും; അവൻ ഉറപ്പുള്ള വല്ല പട്ടണത്തിലും കടന്നു നമ്മുടെ ദൃഷ്ടിയിൽനിന്നു തെറ്റിപ്പോകാതാരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ നിന്റെ യജമാനന്റെ ചേവകരെ കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടു അവനെ പിന്തുടരുക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
7 അങ്ങനെ യോവാബിന്റെ ആളുകളും ക്രോത്യരും പ്ളേത്യരും സകലവീരന്മാരും ബിക്രിയുടെ മകനായ ശേബയെ പിന്തുടരുവാൻ യെരൂശലേമിൽ നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു.
6 And David said to Abishai, Now shall Sheba the son of Bichri do us more harm than did Absalom: take thou thy lord’s servants, and pursue after him, lest he get him fenced cities, and escape us.
7 And there went out after him Joab’s men, and the Cherethites, and the Pelethites, and all the mighty men: and they went out of Jerusalem, to pursue after Sheba the son of Bichri.
