2 Samuel 1
8 നീ ആരെന്നു അവൻ എന്നോടു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു: ഞാൻ ഒരു അമാലേക്യൻ എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
9 അവൻ എന്നോടു: നീ അടുത്തുവന്നു എന്നെ കൊല്ലേണം; എന്റെ ജീവൻ മുഴുവനും എന്നിൽ ഇരിക്കകൊണ്ടു എനിക്കു പരിഭ്രമം പിടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
10 അതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാൻ അടുത്തുചെന്നു അവനെ കൊന്നു; അവന്റെ വീഴ്ചയുടെ ശേഷം അവൻ ജീവിക്കയില്ല എന്നു ഞാൻ അറിഞ്ഞിരുന്നു; അവന്റെ തലയിലെ കിരീടവും ഭുജത്തിലെ കടകവും ഞാൻ എടുത്തു ഇവിടെ യജമാനന്റെ അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുവന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.
11 ഉടനെ ദാവീദ് തന്റെ വസ്ത്രം പറിച്ചുകീറി; കൂടെയുള്ളവരും അങ്ങനെ തന്നെ ചെയ്തു.
8 And he said unto me, Who art thou? And I answered him, I am an Amalekite.
9 He said unto me again, Stand, I pray thee, upon me, and slay me: for anguish is come upon me, because my life is yet whole in me.
10 So I stood upon him, and slew him, because I was sure that he could not live after that he was fallen: and I took the crown that was upon his head, and the bracelet that was on his arm, and have brought them hither unto my lord.
11 Then David took hold on his clothes, and rent them; and likewise all the men that were with him:

So I stood upon him, and slew him, because I was sure that he could not live after that he was fallen: and I took the crown that was upon his head, and the bracelet that was on his arm, and have brought them hither unto my lord.
11 ഉടനെ ദാവീദ് തന്റെ വസ്ത്രം പറിച്ചുകീറി; കൂടെയുള്ളവരും അങ്ങനെ തന്നെ ചെയ്തു.
Then David took hold on his clothes, and rent them; and likewise all the men that were with him:
