1 Chronicles 15
1 അവൻ തനിക്കു ദാവീദിന്റെ നഗരത്തിൽ അരമനകളെ ഉണ്ടാക്കി; ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പെട്ടകത്തിന്നായി ഒരു സ്ഥലം ഒരുക്കി, അതിന്നു ഒരു കൂടാരവും അടിച്ചു.
2 അന്നു ദാവീദ്: ലേവ്യരല്ലാതെ ആരും ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പെട്ടകം ചുമക്കേണ്ടതല്ല; അവരെയല്ലോ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പെട്ടകം ചുമപ്പാനും തനിക്കു എന്നും ശുശ്രൂഷചെയ്വാനും യഹോവ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നതു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
3 അങ്ങനെ ദാവീദ് യഹോവയുടെ പെട്ടകം താൻ അതിന്നു ഒരുക്കിയ സ്ഥലത്തേക്കു കൊണ്ടുവരുവാൻ എല്ലായിസ്രായേലിനെയും യെരൂശലേമിൽ കൂട്ടിവരുത്തി.
4 ദാവീദ് അഹരോന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരെയും ലേവ്യരെയും കൂട്ടിവരുത്തി.
5 കെഹാത്യരിൽ പ്രധാനിയായ ഊരിയേലിനെയും അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരായ നൂറ്റിരുപതുപേരെയും
6 മെരാർയ്യരിൽ പ്രധാനിയായ അസായാവെയും അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരായ ഇരുനൂറ്റിരുപതുപേരെയും
7 ഗേർശോമ്യരിൽ പ്രധാനിയായ യോവേലിനെയും അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരായ നൂറ്റിമുപ്പതുപേരെയും
8 എലീസാഫാന്യരിൽ പ്രധാനിയായ ശെമയ്യാവെയും അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരായ ഇരുനൂറുപേരെയും
9 ഹെബ്രോന്യരിൽ പ്രധാനിയായ എലീയേലിനെയും അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരായ എണ്പതു പേരെയും
10 ഉസ്സീയേല്യരിൽ പ്രധാനിയായ അമ്മീനാദാബിനെയും അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരായ നൂറ്റിപ്പന്ത്രണ്ടുപേരെയും തന്നെ.
1 And David made him houses in the city of David, and prepared a place for the ark of God, and pitched for it a tent.
2 Then David said, None ought to carry the ark of God but the Levites: for them hath the Lord chosen to carry the ark of God, and to minister unto him for ever.
3 And David gathered all Israel together to Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the Lord unto his place, which he had prepared for it.
4 And David assembled the children of Aaron, and the Levites:
5 Of the sons of Kohath; Uriel the chief, and his brethren an hundred and twenty:
6 Of the sons of Merari; Asaiah the chief, and his brethren two hundred and twenty:
7 Of the sons of Gershom; Joel the chief, and his brethren an hundred and thirty:
8 Of the sons of Elizaphan; Shemaiah the chief, and his brethren two hundred:
9 Of the sons of Hebron; Eliel the chief, and his brethren fourscore:
10 Of the sons of Uzziel; Amminadab the chief, and his brethren an hundred and twelve.
