1ಯಾಜಕರಾದ ಲೇವಿಯರಿಗೂ ಆ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಲೇವಿಯ ಗೋತ್ರಕ್ಕೂ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಸಂಗಡ ಪಾಲೂ ಸ್ವಾಸ್ತ್ಯವೂ ಇರಬಾರದು; ಅವರು ಕರ್ತನ ಬೆಂಕಿಯಿಂದ ಮಾಡಿದ ಬಲಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಆತನ ಸ್ವಾಸ್ತ್ಯವನ್ನೂ ತಿನ್ನಬೇಕು.The priests the Levites, and all the tribe of Levi, shall have no part nor inheritance with Israel: they shall eat the offerings of the LORD made by fire, and his inheritance.
2ಆದದರಿಂದ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಅವರ ಸಹೋದರರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ವಾಸ್ತ್ಯವಿರಬಾರದು; ಕರ್ತನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ ಹಾಗೆ ಆತನೇ ಅವರ ಸ್ವಾಸ್ತ್ಯವಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ.Therefore shall they have no inheritance among their brethren: the LORD is their inheritance, as he hath said unto them.
3ಎತ್ತಾಗಲಿ ಕುರಿಯಾಗಲಿ ಒಂದು ಬಲಿಯನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸುವವರ ಕಡೆಯಿಂದಲೂ ಜನರ ಕಡೆಯಿಂದ ಲೂ ಯಾಜಕರಿಗೆ ಬರತಕ್ಕದ್ದು ಇದೇ: ಮುಂದೊಡೆ ಯನ್ನೂ ಎರಡು ದವಡೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕೋಷ್ಟವನ್ನೂ ಯಾಜ ಕನಿಗೆ ಕೊಡಬೇಕು.And this shall be the priest's due from the people, from them that offer a sacrifice, whether it be ox or sheep; and they shall give unto the priest the shoulder, and the two cheeks, and the maw.
4ನಿನ್ನ ಧಾನ್ಯ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸ ಎಣ್ಣೆ ಗಳ ಪ್ರಥಮ ಫಲವನ್ನೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಕುರಿಗಳ ಉಣ್ಣೆ ಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಥಮವಾದದ್ದನ್ನೂ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಕೊಡಬೇಕು.The firstfruit also of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the first of the fleece of thy sheep, shalt thou give him.
5ಅವನೂ ಅವನ ಕುಮಾರರೂ ನಿತ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಕರ್ತನ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇವಿಸುತ್ತಾ ನಿಂತಿರುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವನನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿನ್ನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಗೋತ್ರಗಳೊ ಳಗಿಂದ ಆದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ.For the LORD thy God hath chosen him out of all thy tribes, to stand to minister in the name of the LORD, him and his sons for ever.
6ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಲೇವಿಯು ಸಮಸ್ತ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಲ್ಲಿರುವ ನಿನ್ನ ಯಾವ ಬಾಗಲುಗಳಿಂದ ಅವನು ಪ್ರವಾಸವಾಗಿರುವ ಸ್ಥಳದಿಂದ ಬಂದು ತನ್ನ ಮನಸ್ಸಿನ ಪೂರ್ಣಾಪೇಕ್ಷೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕರ್ತನು ಆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದರೆAnd if a Levite come from any of thy gates out of all Israel, where he sojourned, and come with all the desire of his mind unto the place which the LORD shall choose;
7ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ತನ ಮುಂದೆ ನಿಂತು ಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಅವನ ಸಹೋದರರಾದ ಲೇವಿಯರ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನ ಹೆಸರಿ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇವೆಮಾಡಬಹುದು.Then he shall minister in the name of the LORD his God, as all his brethren the Levites do, which stand there before the LORD.
8ಅವರು ಪಿತ್ರಾರ್ಜಿತ ಆಸ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಮಾರಿದ್ದಲ್ಲದೆ ಸಮವಾದ ಭಾಗಗಳನ್ನು ತಿನ್ನಬೇಕು.They shall have like portions to eat, beside that which cometh of the sale of his patrimony.
9ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿನಗೆ ಕೊಡುವ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ನೀನು ಬಂದಾಗ ಆ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳು ಮಾಡುವ ಅಸಹ್ಯಗಳ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ನೀನು ಕಲಿಯ ಬಾರದು.When thou art come into the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations.
10ತನ್ನ ಮಗನನ್ನು ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಮಗಳನ್ನು ಬೆಂಕಿದಾಟಿಸುವವನೂ ಕಣಿಹೇಳುವವನೂ ಮೇಘಮಂತ್ರದವನೂ ಸರ್ಪಮಂತ್ರದವನೂ ಮಾಟಗಾರನೂThere shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch.
11ಗಾರಡಿಗಾರನೂ ಯಕ್ಷಿಣಿಗಾರನೂ ಮಂತ್ರಜ್ಞನೂ ಸತ್ತವರ ಹತ್ತಿರ ವಿಚಾರಿಸುವವನೂ ನಿನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಕ್ಕಬಾರದು.Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.
12ಇಂಥವುಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವ ವರೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಅಸಹ್ಯ; ಈ ಅಸಹ್ಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಅವರನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ಹೊರಡಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee.
13ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣನಾಗಿರಬೇಕು.Thou shalt be perfect with the LORD thy God.
14ನೀನು ಸ್ವಾಧೀನಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಆ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳು ಮೇಘ ಮಂತ್ರದವರ ಕಣಿಹೇಳುವವರ ಮಾತು ಕೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು; ನಿನ್ನನ್ನಾದರೋ ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡಗೊಡಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ.For these nations, which thou shalt possess, hearkened unto observers of times, and unto diviners: but as for thee, the LORD thy God hath not suffered thee so to do.
15ನನ್ನ ಹಾಗಿರುವ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವ ರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿನಗೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರ ರಿಂದ ಎಬ್ಬಿಸುವನು; ಅವನ ಮಾತು ನೀವು ಕೇಳ ಬೇಕು.--The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;
16ನೀನು ಹೋರೇಬಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸಭೆಯ ದಿವಸ ದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನಿಂದ ಬೇಡಿಕೊಂಡ ಎಲ್ಲಾದರ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಆಗುವದು; ನಾನು ಸಾಯದ ಹಾಗೆ ಇನ್ನು ಮೇಲೆ ನನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನ ಶಬ್ದವನ್ನು ನಾನು ಕೇಳುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಈ ಘೋರವಾದ ಬೆಂಕಿಯನ್ನೂ ನೋಡುವದಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ಹೇಳಿದೆಯಲ್ಲಾ.According to all that thou desiredst of the LORD thy God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of the LORD my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not.
17ಆಗ ಕರ್ತನು ನನಗೆ--ಅವರು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿ ದ್ದಾರೆ.And the LORD said unto me, They have well spoken that which they have spoken.
18ನಿನ್ನ ಹಾಗಿರುವ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯನ್ನು ಅವರ ಸಹೋದರರಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಎಬ್ಬಿಸುವೆನು; ನನ್ನ ವಾಕ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಅವನ ಬಾಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇಡುವೆನು; ನಾನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸುವದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅವನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳುವನು.I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.
19ಅವನು ನನ್ನ ಹೆಸರಿನಿಂದ ಹೇಳುವ ನನ್ನ ವಾಕ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳದ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಯಾವನೋ ಅವನನ್ನು ನಾನು ವಿಚಾರಿಸುವೆನು.And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.
20ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ಮಾತನಾಡಲು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸದೆ ಇರುವದನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಹೆಸರಿನಿಂದ ಮಾತನಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಅಹಂಕಾರ ತೋರಿ ಸುವ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯೂ ಬೇರೆ ದೇವರುಗಳ ಹೆಸರಿ ನಿಂದ ಮಾತನಾಡುವವನೂ ಆದ ಆ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯೂ ಸಾಯಬೇಕು.But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die.
21ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೇಳಿದ ವಾಕ್ಯವು ನಮಗೆ ಹೇಗೆ ತಿಳಿದೀತೆಂದು ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂದುಕೊಂಡರೆAnd if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD hath not spoken?
22ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯು ಕರ್ತನ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಳಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಆಗದೆ ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಸಂಭವಿಸದೆ ಹೋದರೆ ಅದೇ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೇಳದಂಥ, ಮಾತನಾಡದಂಥ ಕಾರ್ಯವು; ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯು ಅಹಂಕಾರದಿಂದ ಅದನ್ನು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ್ದರೆ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಡಬಾರದು.When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.
