ಆ ಕನ್ನಿಕೆಯು ಅವನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಗೆ ಉತ್ತಮಳೆಂದು ಕಾಣಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವನ ಸಮ್ಮುಖದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವಳಿಗೆ ದಯೆದೊರಕಿತು. ಆದಕಾರಣ ಅವನು ತ್ವರೆ ಯಾಗಿ ಶುಚಿಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಬೇಕಾದವುಗ ಳನ್ನೂ ಅವಳಿಗೆ ಕೊಡತಕ್ಕವುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅರಸನ ಮನೆ ಯಿಂದ ಕೊಡತಕ್ಕ ಏಳು ಮಂದಿ ದಾಸಿಯರನ್ನೂ ಅವಳಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಉತ್ತಮವಾದ ಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನು ಅವಳಿಗೂ ಅವಳ ದಾಸಿ ಯರಿಗೂ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು.

Esther 2:12
ಆದರೆ ಒಬ್ಬೊಬ್ಬ ಕನ್ನಿಕೆಯು ಆರು ತಿಂಗಳು ಬೋಳ ತೈಲದಿಂದಲೂ ಆರು ತಿಂಗಳು ಸುಗಂಧಗ ಳಿಂದಲೂ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರು ಶುಚಿಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳತಕ್ಕವುಗ ಳಿಂದಲೂ ಶುಚಿಯಾಗುವ ದಿವಸಗಳನ್ನು ತೀರಿಸಿದರು. ಹೀಗೆಯೇ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರ ಮರ್ಯಾದೆಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಹನ್ನೆ ರಡು ತಿಂಗಳಾದ ತರುವಾಯ ಅರಸನಾದ ಅಹಷ್ವೇ ರೋಷನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಲು ಅವರವರ ಸರದಿ ಬಂತು.
