Joel 2
1 ನೀವು ಚೀಯೋನಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಂಬುಊದಿರಿ, ನನ್ನ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ಪರ್ವತದಲ್ಲಿ ಆರ್ಭಟಿಸಿರಿ; ದೇಶದ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳೆಲ್ಲರೂ ನಡುಗಲಿ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಕರ್ತನ ದಿನವು ಬರುತ್ತದೆ; ಅದು ಸವಿಾಪ ವಾಗಿದೆ.
2 ಕತ್ತಲೆಯೂ ಮೊಬ್ಬೂ ಉಳ್ಳ ದಿವಸವೂ; ಮೇಘವೂ ಕಾರ್ಗತ್ತಲೂ ಉಳ್ಳ ದಿವಸ ವೂ; ಬೆಟ್ಟಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಹಾಸಿರುವ ಉದಯದ ಹಾಗಿದೆ. ದೊಡ್ಡ ಬಲವಾದ ಜನವು; ಅದರ ಹಾಗೆ ಎಂದೂ ಇದ್ದದ್ದಿಲ್ಲ; ಅದರ ತರುವಾಯ ತಲತಲಾಂತರಗಳ ವರುಷಗಳ ವರೆಗೆ ಇನ್ನು ಇರುವದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ.
3 ಅವರ ಮುಂದೆ ಬೆಂಕಿ ದಹಿಸುತ್ತದೆ; ಅವರ ಹಿಂದೆ ಜ್ವಾಲೆ ಸುಡುತ್ತದೆ; ಅವರ ಮುಂದೆ ದೇಶವು ಏದೆನ್ ತೋಟದ ಹಾಗಿದೆ; ಅವರ ಹಿಂದೆ ಹಾಳಾದ ಕಾಡು; ಹೌದು, ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಯಾವದೂ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾರದು.
4 ಅವರ ಆಕಾರವು ಕುದುರೆಗಳ ಆಕಾರದ ಹಾಗಿದೆ; ಸವಾರರ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಓಡುತ್ತಾರೆ.
5 ಪರ್ವತಾಗ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ರಥಗಳ ಶಬ್ದದಂತೆ ಹಾರುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಕೂಳೆಯನ್ನು ದಹಿಸುವ ಬೆಂಕಿಯ ಜ್ವಾಲೆಯ ಶಬ್ದದ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಸಿದ್ಧವಾದ ಬಲವುಳ್ಳ ಜನರ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ
6 ಅವರ ಮುಂದೆ ಜನರು ಬಹಳವಾಗಿ ನೊಂದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮುಖಗಳು ಕಳೆಗುಂದುತ್ತವೆ.
7 ಶೂರರ ಹಾಗೆ ಓಡುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಯುದ್ಧ ಶಾಲಿಗಳ ಹಾಗೆ ಗೋಡೆ ಏರುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಒಬ್ಬೊಬ್ಬನು ತನ್ನ ತನ್ನ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಾನೆ; ತಮ್ಮ ಹಾದಿ ಗಳನ್ನು ಬದಲು ಮಾಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ.
8 ಒಬ್ಬನು ಇನ್ನೊಬ್ಬ ನನ್ನು ನೂಕುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನು ತನ್ನ ತನ್ನ ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಆಯುಧಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದರೂ ಗಾಯವಾಗುವದಿಲ್ಲ.
9 ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಅತ್ತಿತ್ತ ತಿರುಗಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಗೋಡೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಓಡುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಮನೆಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಹತ್ತುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಕಳ್ಳನ ಹಾಗೆ ಕಿಟಕಿಗಳಿಂದ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
10 ಅವರ ಮುಂದೆ ಭೂಮಿಯು ನಡುಗುತ್ತದೆ; ಆಕಾಶಗಳು ಅದುರುತ್ತವೆ; ಸೂರ್ಯ ಚಂದ್ರರು ಕಪ್ಪಾಗುತ್ತವೆ; ನಕ್ಷತ್ರಗಳು ತಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಕಾಶವನ್ನು ಮರೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತವೆ.
11 ಕರ್ತನು ತನ್ನ ಸೈನ್ಯದ ಮುಂದೆ ತನ್ನ ಶಬ್ದವನ್ನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಆತನ ದಂಡು ಬಹು ದೊಡ್ಡದಾಗಿದೆ; ಹೌದು, ಬಲವಾದ ದ್ದಾಗಿದ್ದು ಆತನ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ನಡಿಸುತ್ತದೆ; ಕರ್ತನ ದಿನವು ದೊಡ್ಡದು, ಮಹಾ ಭಯಂಕರವಾದದ್ದು, ಅದನ್ನು ತಾಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವವನ್ಯಾರು?
1 Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the Lord cometh, for it is nigh at hand;
2 A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations.
3 A fire devoureth before them; and behind them a flame burneth: the land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, and nothing shall escape them.
4 The appearance of them is as the appearance of horses; and as horsemen, so shall they run.
5 Like the noise of chariots on the tops of mountains shall they leap, like the noise of a flame of fire that devoureth the stubble, as a strong people set in battle array.
6 Before their face the people shall be much pained: all faces shall gather blackness.
7 They shall run like mighty men; they shall climb the wall like men of war; and they shall march every one on his ways, and they shall not break their ranks:
8 Neither shall one thrust another; they shall walk every one in his path: and when they fall upon the sword, they shall not be wounded.
9 They shall run to and fro in the city; they shall run upon the wall, they shall climb up upon the houses; they shall enter in at the windows like a thief.
10 The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble: the sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining:
11 And the Lord shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executeth his word: for the day of the Lord is great and very terrible; and who can abide it?

Like the noise of chariots on the tops of mountains shall they leap, like the noise of a flame of fire that devoureth the stubble, as a strong people set in battle array.
6 ಅವರ ಮುಂದೆ ಜನರು ಬಹಳವಾಗಿ ನೊಂದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮುಖಗಳು ಕಳೆಗುಂದುತ್ತವೆ.

9 ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಅತ್ತಿತ್ತ ತಿರುಗಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಗೋಡೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಓಡುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಮನೆಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಹತ್ತುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಕಳ್ಳನ ಹಾಗೆ ಕಿಟಕಿಗಳಿಂದ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
They shall run to and fro in the city; they shall run upon the wall, they shall climb up upon the houses; they shall enter in at the windows like a thief.
10 ಅವರ ಮುಂದೆ ಭೂಮಿಯು ನಡುಗುತ್ತದೆ; ಆಕಾಶಗಳು ಅದುರುತ್ತವೆ; ಸೂರ್ಯ ಚಂದ್ರರು ಕಪ್ಪಾಗುತ್ತವೆ; ನಕ್ಷತ್ರಗಳು ತಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಕಾಶವನ್ನು ಮರೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತವೆ.
The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble: the sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining:
