Ecclesiastes 1
4 ಒಂದು ಸಂತಾನವು ಗತಿಸುತ್ತದೆ, ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಸಂತಾನವು ಬರುತ್ತದೆ; ಆದರೆ ಭೂಮಿಯು ಎಂದಿಗೂ ನಿಲ್ಲುತ್ತದೆ.
5 ಸೂರ್ಯನು ಏರುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಸೂರ್ಯನು ಇಳಿಯುತ್ತಾನೆ; ತಾನು ಏರಿದ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಆತುರಪಡುತ್ತಾನೆ.
6 ಗಾಳಿಯು ದಕ್ಷಿಣದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಬೀಸುತ್ತದೆ, ಉತ್ತರದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗುತ್ತದೆ; ಅದು ಬಿಡದೆ ಗುಂಡಾಗಿ ಸುತ್ತುತ್ತದೆ; ಆ ಗಾಳಿಯು ತನ್ನ ಸುತ್ತಳತೆಗಳ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಹಿಂದಿರು ಗುತ್ತದೆ.
7 ನದಿಗಳೆಲ್ಲಾ ಹರಿದು ಸಮುದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತವೆ, ಆದರೂ ಸಮುದ್ರವು ತುಂಬುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ನದಿ ಗಳು ಎಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಬಂದಿವೆಯೋ ಆ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಅವು ಹಿಂತಿರು ಗುತ್ತವೆ.
8 ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳು ಪ್ರಯಾಸದಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿ ಯವೆ; ಅದನ್ನು ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ವಿವರಿಸಲಾರನು; ನೋಡುವದರಿಂದ ಕಣ್ಣು ತೃಪ್ತಿಗೊಳ್ಳದು. ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಕೇಳು ವದರಿಂದ ಕಿವಿಯು ದಣಿಯದು.
4 One generation passeth away, and another generation cometh: but the earth abideth for ever.
5 The sun also ariseth, and the sun goeth down, and hasteth to his place where he arose.
6 The wind goeth toward the south, and turneth about unto the north; it whirleth about continually, and the wind returneth again according to his circuits.
7 All the rivers run into the sea; yet the sea is not full; unto the place from whence the rivers come, thither they return again.
8 All things are full of labour; man cannot utter it: the eye is not satisfied with seeing, nor the ear filled with hearing.

7 ನದಿಗಳೆಲ್ಲಾ ಹರಿದು ಸಮುದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತವೆ, ಆದರೂ ಸಮುದ್ರವು ತುಂಬುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ನದಿ ಗಳು ಎಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಬಂದಿವೆಯೋ ಆ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಅವು ಹಿಂತಿರು ಗುತ್ತವೆ.
All the rivers run into the sea; yet the sea is not full; unto the place from whence the rivers come, thither they return again.
8 ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳು ಪ್ರಯಾಸದಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿ ಯವೆ; ಅದನ್ನು ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ವಿವರಿಸಲಾರನು; ನೋಡುವದರಿಂದ ಕಣ್ಣು ತೃಪ್ತಿಗೊಳ್ಳದು. ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಕೇಳು ವದರಿಂದ ಕಿವಿಯು ದಣಿಯದು.
All things are full of labour; man cannot utter it: the eye is not satisfied with seeing, nor the ear filled with hearing.
