ಯೋಹಾನನು ಮೊದಲು ಬಾಪ್ತಿಸ್ಮ ಮಾಡಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಸ್ಥಳವಾದ ಯೊರ್ದನಿನ ಆಚೆಗೆ ತಿರಿಗಿಹೋಗಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸಿದನು.
