2 Kings 7
3 ಆಗ ಊರು ಬಾಗಲ ದ್ವಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಲ್ಕುಮಂದಿ ಕುಷ್ಠರೋಗಿಗಳು ಇದ್ದರು. ಅವರು ಒಬ್ಬರಿಗೊಬ್ಬರುನಾವು ಸಾಯುವ ವರೆಗೂ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಂಡಿ ರುವದೇನು?
4 ನಾವು ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸುವೆವು ಅಂದರೆ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರವಿರುವದರಿಂದ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಯುತ್ತೇವೆ; ಇಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವು ಕುಳಿತಿದ್ದರೂ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಸಾಯು ತ್ತೇವೆ. ಆದದರಿಂದ ನಾವು ಅರಾಮ್ಯರ ಪಾಳೆಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗೋಣ ಬನ್ನಿರಿ; ಅವರು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಬದುಕಿಸಿದರೆ ಬದುಕುವೆವು, ಸಾಯಿಸಿದರೆ ಸಾಯುವೆವು ಅಂದು ಕೊಂಡರು.
5 ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಸಂಜೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎದ್ದು ಅರಾಮ್ಯರ ಪಾಳೆಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಲು ಅವರು ಅರಾಮ್ಯರ ಪಾಳೆಯದ ಅಂಚಿಗೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ಇಗೋ, ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾರೂ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
6 ಕರ್ತನು ಪಾಳೆಯದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಅರಾಮ್ಯರಿಗೆ ರಥಗಳ ಶಬ್ದವೂ ಕುದುರೆಗಳ ಶಬ್ದವೂ ಮಹಾಸೈನ್ಯದ ಶಬ್ದವೂ ಕೇಳಲ್ಪಡುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವರು ಒಬ್ಬರಿಗೊ ಬ್ಬರು--ಇಗೋ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸನು ನಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೀಳಲು ಹಿತ್ತಿಯರ ಅರಸುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಐಗುಪ್ತದ ಅರಸುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕೂಲಿಗೆ ಕರೆದಿದ್ದಾನೆ ಅಂದುಕೊಂಡರು.
7 ಅವರು ಸಂಜೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎದ್ದು ಪಾಳೆಯದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಹಾಗೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಗುಡಾರಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕುದುರೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕತ್ತೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ತಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಾಣಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಓಡಿಹೋದರು.
3 And there were four leprous men at the entering in of the gate: and they said one to another, Why sit we here until we die?
4 If we say, We will enter into the city, then the famine is in the city, and we shall die there: and if we sit still here, we die also. Now therefore come, and let us fall unto the host of the Syrians: if they save us alive, we shall live; and if they kill us, we shall but die.
5 And they rose up in the twilight, to go unto the camp of the Syrians: and when they were come to the uttermost part of the camp of Syria, behold, there was no man there.
6 For the Lord had made the host of the Syrians to hear a noise of chariots, and a noise of horses, even the noise of a great host: and they said one to another, Lo, the king of Israel hath hired against us the kings of the Hittites, and the kings of the Egyptians, to come upon us.
7 Wherefore they arose and fled in the twilight, and left their tents, and their horses, and their asses, even the camp as it was, and fled for their life.

4 ನಾವು ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸುವೆವು ಅಂದರೆ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರವಿರುವದರಿಂದ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಯುತ್ತೇವೆ; ಇಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವು ಕುಳಿತಿದ್ದರೂ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಸಾಯು ತ್ತೇವೆ. ಆದದರಿಂದ ನಾವು ಅರಾಮ್ಯರ ಪಾಳೆಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗೋಣ ಬನ್ನಿರಿ; ಅವರು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಬದುಕಿಸಿದರೆ ಬದುಕುವೆವು, ಸಾಯಿಸಿದರೆ ಸಾಯುವೆವು ಅಂದು ಕೊಂಡರು.

5 ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಸಂಜೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎದ್ದು ಅರಾಮ್ಯರ ಪಾಳೆಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಲು ಅವರು ಅರಾಮ್ಯರ ಪಾಳೆಯದ ಅಂಚಿಗೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ಇಗೋ, ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾರೂ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
And they rose up in the twilight, to go unto the camp of the Syrians: and when they were come to the uttermost part of the camp of Syria, behold, there was no man there.
6 ಕರ್ತನು ಪಾಳೆಯದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಅರಾಮ್ಯರಿಗೆ ರಥಗಳ ಶಬ್ದವೂ ಕುದುರೆಗಳ ಶಬ್ದವೂ ಮಹಾಸೈನ್ಯದ ಶಬ್ದವೂ ಕೇಳಲ್ಪಡುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವರು ಒಬ್ಬರಿಗೊ ಬ್ಬರು--ಇಗೋ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸನು ನಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೀಳಲು ಹಿತ್ತಿಯರ ಅರಸುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಐಗುಪ್ತದ ಅರಸುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕೂಲಿಗೆ ಕರೆದಿದ್ದಾನೆ ಅಂದುಕೊಂಡರು.
For the Lord had made the host of the Syrians to hear a noise of chariots, and a noise of horses, even the noise of a great host: and they said one to another, Lo, the king of Israel hath hired against us the kings of the Hittites, and the kings of the Egyptians, to come upon us.
7 ಅವರು ಸಂಜೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎದ್ದು ಪಾಳೆಯದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಹಾಗೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಗುಡಾರಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕುದುರೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕತ್ತೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ತಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಾಣಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಓಡಿಹೋದರು.
