கர்த்தர் அதையும் அதின் ராஜாவையும் இஸ்ரவேலின் கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தார்; அதையும் அதிலுள்ள சகல நரஜீவன்களையும், ஒருவரையும் அதிலே மீதியாக வைக்காமல், பட்டயக்கருக்கினால் அழித்து, எரிகோவின் ராஜாவுக்குச் செய்ததுபோல, அதின் ராஜாவுக்கும் செய்தான்.

கர்த்தர் அதையும் அதின் ராஜாவையும் இஸ்ரவேலின் கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தார்; அதையும் அதிலுள்ள எல்லா உயிரினங்களையும், ஒருவரையும் அதிலே மீதியாக வைக்காமல், பட்டயத்தினால் அழித்து, எரிகோவின் ராஜாவுக்குச் செய்ததுபோல, அதின் ராஜாவுக்கும் செய்தான்.

அந்நகரத்தையும் அதன் அரசனையும் தோற்கடிப்பதற்குக் கர்த்தர் இஸ்ரவேலரை அனுமதித்தார். அந்நகரில் இருந்த ஒவ்வொருவரையும் இஸ்ரவேல் ஜனங்கள் கொன்றனர். யாரும் உயிரோடு விடப்படவில்லை. இஸ்ரவேல் ஜனங்கள் எரிகோவின் அரசனுக்குச் செய்தபடியே லிப்னாவின் அரசனுக்கும் செய்தனர்.
