John 9 in Tamil

1 அவர் அப்புறம் போகையில் பிறவிக்குருடனாகிய ஒரு மனுஷனைக் கண்டார். And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth.

2 அப்பொழுது அவருடைய சீஷர்கள் அவரை நோக்கி: ரபீ, இவன் குருடனாய்ப் பிறந்தது யார் செய்த பாவம், இவன்செய்த பாவமோ, இவனைப் பெற்றவர்கள் செய்த பாவமோ என்று கேட்டார்கள். And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?

3 இயேசு பிரதியுத்தரமாக: அது இவன் செய்த பாவமுமல்ல, இவனைப் பெற்றவர்கள் செய்த பாவமுமல்ல, தேவனுடைய கிரியைகள் இவனிடத்தில் வெளிப்படும்பொருட்டு இப்படிப் பிறந்தான். Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.

4 பகற்காலமிருக்குமட்டும் நான் என்னை அனுப்பினவருடைய கிரியைகளைச் செய்யவேண்டும்; ஒருவனும் கிரியை செய்யக்கூடாத இராக்காலம் வருகிறது. I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.

5 நான் உலகத்திலிருக்கையில் உலகத்திற்கு ஒளியாயிருக்கிறேன் என்றார். As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.

6 இவைகளைச் சொல்லி, அவர் தரையிலே துப்பி, உமிழ்நீரினால் சேறுண்டாக்கி, அந்தச் சேற்றைக் குருடனுடைய கண்களின்மேல் பூசி: When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay,

7 நீ போய், சீலோவாம் குளத்திலே கழுவு என்றார். சீலோவாம் என்பதற்கு அனுப்பப்பட்டவன் என்று அர்த்தமாம். அப்படியே அவன் போய்க் கழுவி, பார்வையடைந்தவனாய்த் திரும்பிவந்தான். And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing.

8 அப்பொழுது அயலகத்தாரும், அவன் குருடனாயிருக்கையில் அவனைக் கண்டிருந்தவர்களும்: இவன் உட்கார்ந்து பிச்சைக் கேட்டுக்கொண்டிருந்தவனல்லவா என்றார்கள். The neighbours therefore, and they which before had seen him that he was blind, said, Is not this he that sat and begged?

9 சிலர் அவன்தான் என்றார்கள். வேறுசிலர்: அவனுடைய சாயலாயிருக்கிறான் என்றார்கள். அவனோ நான்தான் அவன் என்றான். Some said, This is he: others said, He is like him: but he said, I am he.

10 அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் அவனை நோக்கி: உன் கண்கள் எப்படித் திறக்கப்பட்டது என்றார்கள். Therefore said they unto him, How were thine eyes opened?

11 அவன் பிரதியுத்தரமாக: இயேசு என்னப்பட்ட ஒருவர் சேறுண்டாக்கி, என் கண்களின்மேல் பூசி, நீ போய் சீலோவாம் குளத்திலே கழுவு என்றார். அப்படியே நான் போய்க் கழுவி, பார்வையடைந்தேன் என்றான். He answered and said, A man that is called Jesus made clay, and anointed mine eyes, and said unto me, Go to the pool of Siloam, and wash: and I went and washed, and I received sight.

12 அப்பொழுது அவர்கள்: அவர் எங்கே என்றார்கள். அவன்: எனக்குத் தெரியாது என்றான். Then said they unto him, Where is he? He said, I know not.

13 குருடனாயிருந்த அவனைப் பரிசேயரிடத்திற்குக் கொண்டுபோனார்கள். They brought to the Pharisees him that aforetime was blind.

14 இயேசு சேறுண்டாக்கி, அவன் கண்களைக் திறந்த நாள் ஓய்வு நாளாயிருந்தது. And it was the sabbath day when Jesus made the clay, and opened his eyes.

15 ஆகையால் பரிசேயரும் அவனை நோக்கி: நீ எப்படிப் பார்வையடைந்தாய் என்று மறுபடியும் கேட்டார்கள். அதற்கு அவன் அவர் என் கண்களின்மேல் சேற்றைப் பூசினார், நான் கழுவினேன், காண்கிறேன் என்றான். Then again the Pharisees also asked him how he had received his sight. He said unto them, He put clay upon mine eyes, and I washed, and do see.

16 அப்பொழுது பரிசேயரில் சிலர்: அந்த மனுஷன் ஓய்வுநாளைக் கைக்கொள்ளாததினால் அவன் தேவனிடத்திலிருந்து வந்தவனல்ல என்றார்கள். வேறுசிலர்: பாவியாயிருக்கிற மனுஷன் இப்படிப்பட்ட அற்புதங்களை எப்படிச் செய்வான் என்றார்கள். இவ்விதமாய் அவர்களுக்குள்ளே பிரிவினையுண்டாயிற்று Therefore said some of the Pharisees, This man is not of God, because he keepeth not the sabbath day. Others said, How can a man that is a sinner do such miracles? And there was a division among them.

17 மறுபடியும் அவர்கள் குருடனை நோக்கி: உன் கண்களைத் திறந்தானே, அவனைக்குறித்து நீ என்ன சொல்லுகிறாய் என்றார்கள். அதற்கு அவன்: அவர் தீர்க்கதரிசி என்றான். They say unto the blind man again, What sayest thou of him, that he hath opened thine eyes? He said, He is a prophet.

18 அவன் குருடனாயிருந்து பார்வையடைந்ததை யூதர்கள் நம்பாமல், பார்வையடைந்தவனுடைய தாய்தகப்பன்மாரை அழைப்பித்து, But the Jews did not believe concerning him, that he had been blind, and received his sight, until they called the parents of him that had received his sight.

19 அவர்களை நோக்கி: உங்கள் குமாரன் குருடனாய்ப் பிறந்தான் என்று சொல்லுகிறீர்களே, அவன் இவன்தானா? இவனானால், இப்பொழுது இவன் எப்படிப் பார்வையடைந்தான் என்று கேட்டார்கள். And they asked them, saying, Is this your son, who ye say was born blind? how then doth he now see?

20 தாய்தகப்பன்மார் பிரதியுத்தரமாக: இவன் எங்கள் குமாரன்தான் என்றும், குருடனாய்ப் பிறந்தான் என்றும் எங்களுக்குத் தெரியும். His parents answered them and said, We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind:

21 இப்பொழுது இவன் பார்வையடைந்த வகை எங்களுக்குத் தெரியாது; இவன் கண்களைத் திறந்தவன் இன்னான் என்பதும் எங்களுக்குத் தெரியாது, இவன் வயதுள்ளவனாயிருக்கிறான், இவனைக் கேளுங்கள், இவனே சொல்லுவான் என்றார்கள். But by what means he now seeth, we know not; or who hath opened his eyes, we know not: he is of age; ask him: he shall speak for himself.

22 அவனுடைய தாய்தகப்பன்மார் யூதர்களுக்குப் பயந்ததினால் இப்படிச்சொன்னார்கள். ஏனெனில் இயேசுவைக் கிறிஸ்து என்று எவனாவது அறிக்கைப்பண்ணினால் அவனை ஜெபஆலயத்துக்குப் புறம்பாக்கவேண்டுமென்று யூதர்கள் அதற்குமுன்னமே கட்டுப்பாடு செய்திருந்தார்கள். These words spake his parents, because they feared the Jews: for the Jews had agreed already, that if any man did confess that he was Christ, he should be put out of the synagogue.

23 அதினிமித்தம்: இவன் வயதுள்ளவனாயிருக்கிறான், இவனையே கேளுங்கள் என்று அவன் தாய்தகப்பன்மார் சொன்னார்கள். Therefore said his parents, He is of age; ask him.

24 ஆதலால் அவர்கள் குருடனாயிருந்த மனுஷனை இரண்டாந்தரம் அழைத்து: நீ தேவனை மகிமைப்படுத்து; இந்த மனுஷன் பாவியென்று நாங்கள் அறிந்திருக்கிறோம் என்றார்கள். Then again called they the man that was blind, and said unto him, Give God the praise: we know that this man is a sinner.

25 அவன் பிரதியுத்தரமாக: அவர் பாவியென்று எனக்குத் தெரியாது; நான் குருடனாயிருந்தேன், இப்பொழுது காண்கிறேன்; இது ஒன்றுதான் எனக்குத்தெரியும் என்றான். He answered and said, Whether he be a sinner or no, I know not: one thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I see.

26 அவர்கள் மறுபடியும் அவனை நோக்கி: உனக்கு என்னசெய்தான், உன் கண்களை எப்படித் திறந்தான் என்றார்கள். Then said they to him again, What did he to thee? how opened he thine eyes?

27 அவன் பிரதியுத்தரமாக: முன்னமே உங்களுக்குச் சொன்னேன், நீங்கள் கேளாமற் போனீர்கள்; மறுபடியும் கேட்க வேண்டியதென்ன அவருக்குச் சீஷராக உங்களுக்கும் மனதுண்டோ என்றான். He answered them, I have told you already, and ye did not hear: wherefore would ye hear it again? will ye also be his disciples?

28 அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் அவனை வைது: நீ அவனுடைய சீஷன், நாங்கள் மோசேயினுடைய சீஷர். Then they reviled him, and said, Thou art his disciple; but we are Moses' disciples.

29 மோசேயுடனே தேவன் பேசினாரென்று அறிவோம், இவன் எங்கேயிருந்து வந்தவனென்று அறியோம் என்றார்கள். We know that God spake unto Moses: as for this fellow, we know not from whence he is.

30 அதற்கு அந்த மனுஷன்: அவர் என் கண்களைத் திறந்திருந்தும், அவர் எங்கேயிருந்து வந்தவரென்று நீங்கள் அறியாதிருக்கிறது ஆச்சரியமான காரியம். The man answered and said unto them, Why herein is a marvellous thing, that ye know not from whence he is, and yet he hath opened mine eyes.

31 பாவிகளுக்கு தேவன் செவிகொடுக்கிறதில்லையென்று அறிந்திருக்கிறோம்; ஒருவன் தேவபக்தியுள்ளவனாயிருந்து அவருக்குச் சித்தமானதைச் செய்தால் அவனுக்குச் செவிகொடுப்பார். Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.

32 பிறவிக்குருடனுடைய கண்களை ஒருவன் திறந்தானென்று உலகமுண்டானதுமுதல் கேள்விப்பட்டதில்லையே. Since the world began was it not heard that any man opened the eyes of one that was born blind.

33 அவர் தேவனிடத்திலிருந்து வராதிருந்தால் ஒன்றும் செய்யமாட்டாரே என்றான். If this man were not of God, he could do nothing.

34 அவர்கள் அவனுக்குப் பிரதியுத்தரமாக: முழுவதும் பாவத்தில் பிறந்த நீ எங்களுக்குப் போதிக்கிறாயோ என்று சொல்லி, அவனைப் புறம்பே தள்ளிவிட்டார்கள் They answered and said unto him, Thou wast altogether born in sins, and dost thou teach us? And they cast him out.

35 அவனை அவர்கள் புறம்பே தள்ளிவிட்டதை இயேசு கேள்விப்பட்டு, அவனைக் கண்டபோது நீ தேவனுடைய குமாரனிடத்தில் விசுவாசமாயிருக்கிறாயா என்றார். Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God?

36 அதற்கு அவன்: ஆண்டவரே, அவரிடத்தில் நான் விசுவாசமாயிருக்கும்படிக்கு அவர் யார் என்றான் He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him?

37 இயேசு அவனை நோக்கி. நீ அவரைக் கண்டிருக்கிறாய், உன்னுடனே பேசுகிறவர் அவர்தான் என்றார். And Jesus said unto him, Thou hast both seen him, and it is he that talketh with thee.

38 உடனே அவன்: ஆண்டவரே விசுவாசிக்கிறேன் என்று சொல்லி, அவரைப் பணிந்துகொண்டான். And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him.

39 அப்பொழுது இயேசு: காணாதவர்கள் காணும்படியாகவும், காண்கிறவர்கள் குருடராகும்படியாகவும் நியாயத்தீர்ப்புக்கு நான் இந்த உலகத்தில் வந்தேன் என்றார். And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind.

40 அவருடனேகூட இருந்த பரிசேயரில் சிலர் இவைகளைக் கேட்டபொழுது: நாங்களும் குருடரோ என்றார்கள். And some of the Pharisees which were with him heard these words, and said unto him, Are we blind also?

41 இயேசு அவர்களை நோக்கி: நீங்கள் குருடராயிருந்தால் உங்களுக்குப் பாவமிராது; நீங்கள் காண்கிறோம் என்று சொல்லுகிறபடியினால் உங்கள் பாவம் நிலைநிற்கிறது என்றார். Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth.

1 Avar appuram pokaiyil piravikkurudanaakiya oru manushanaik kanndaar. And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth.

2 Appoluthu avarutaiya seesharkal avarai Nnokki: rapee, ivan kurudanaayp piranthathu yaar seytha paavam, ivanseytha paavamo, ivanaip pettavarkal seytha paavamo entu kaettarkal. And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?

3 Yesu pirathiyuththaramaaka: athu ivan seytha paavamumalla, ivanaip pettavarkal seytha paavamumalla, thaevanutaiya kiriyaikal ivanidaththil velippadumporuttu ippatip piranthaan. Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.

4 Pakarkaalamirukkumattum naan ennai anuppinavarutaiya kiriyaikalaich seyyavaenndum; oruvanum kiriyai seyyakkoodaatha iraakkaalam varukirathu. I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.

5 Naan ulakaththilirukkaiyil ulakaththirku oliyaayirukkiraேn entar. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.

6 Ivaikalaich solli, avar tharaiyilae thuppi, umilneerinaal seraுnndaakki, anthach settaைk kurudanutaiya kannkalinmael poosi: When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay,

7 Nee poy, seelovaam kulaththilae kaluvu entar. Seelovaam enpatharku anuppappattavan entu arththamaam. Appatiyae avan poyk kaluvi, paarvaiyatainthavanaayth thirumpivanthaan. And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing.

8 Appoluthu ayalakaththaarum, avan kurudanaayirukkaiyil avanaik kanntirunthavarkalum: ivan utkaarnthu pichchaைk kaettukkonntirunthavanallavaa entarkal. The neighbours therefore, and they which before had seen him that he was blind, said, Is not this he that sat and begged?

9 Silar avanthaan entarkal. Vaeraுsilar: avanutaiya saayalaayirukkiraan entarkal. Avano naanthaan avan entan. Some said, This is he: others said, He is like him: but he said, I am he.

10 Appoluthu avarkal avanai Nnokki: un kannkal eppatith thirakkappattathu entarkal. Therefore said they unto him, How were thine eyes opened?

11 Avan pirathiyuththaramaaka: Yesu ennappatta oruvar seraுnndaakki, en kannkalinmael poosi, nee poy seelovaam kulaththilae kaluvu entar. Appatiyae naan poyk kaluvi, paarvaiyatainthaen entan. He answered and said, A man that is called Jesus made clay, and anointed mine eyes, and said unto me, Go to the pool of Siloam, and wash: and I went and washed, and I received sight.

12 Appoluthu avarkal: avar engae entarkal. Avan: enakkuth theriyaathu entan. Then said they unto him, Where is he? He said, I know not.

13 Kurudanaayiruntha avanaip pariseyaridaththirkuk konnduponaarkal. They brought to the Pharisees him that aforetime was blind.

14 Yesu seraுnndaakki, avan kannkalaik thirantha naal oyvu naalaayirunthathu. And it was the sabbath day when Jesus made the clay, and opened his eyes.

15 Aakaiyaal pariseyarum avanai Nnokki: nee eppatip paarvaiyatainthaay entu maraுpatiyum kaettarkal. Atharku avan avar en kannkalinmael settaைp poosinaar, naan kaluvinaen, kaannkiraேn entan. Then again the Pharisees also asked him how he had received his sight. He said unto them, He put clay upon mine eyes, and I washed, and do see.

16 Appoluthu pariseyaril silar: antha manushan oyvunaalaik kaikkollaathathinaal avan thaevanidaththilirunthu vanthavanalla entarkal. Vaeraுsilar: paaviyaayirukkira manushan ippatippatta arputhangalai eppatich seyvaan entarkal. Ivvithamaay avarkalukkullae pirivinaiyunndaayittaு Therefore said some of the Pharisees, This man is not of God, because he keepeth not the sabbath day. Others said, How can a man that is a sinner do such miracles? And there was a division among them.

17 Maraுpatiyum avarkal kurudanai Nnokki: un kannkalaith thiranthaanae, avanaikkuriththu nee enna sollukiraay entarkal. Atharku avan: avar theerkkatharisi entan. They say unto the blind man again, What sayest thou of him, that he hath opened thine eyes? He said, He is a prophet.

18 Avan kurudanaayirunthu paarvaiyatainthathai yootharkal nampaamal, paarvaiyatainthavanutaiya thaaythakappanmaarai alaippiththu, But the Jews did not believe concerning him, that he had been blind, and received his sight, until they called the parents of him that had received his sight.

19 Avarkalai Nnokki: ungal kumaaran kurudanaayp piranthaan entu sollukireerkalae, avan ivanthaanaa? Ivanaanaal, ippoluthu ivan eppatip paarvaiyatainthaan entu kaettarkal. And they asked them, saying, Is this your son, who ye say was born blind? how then doth he now see?

20 Thaaythakappanmaar pirathiyuththaramaaka: ivan engal kumaaranthaan entum, kurudanaayp piranthaan entum engalukkuth theriyum. His parents answered them and said, We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind:

21 Ippoluthu ivan paarvaiyataintha vakai engalukkuth theriyaathu; ivan kannkalaith thiranthavan innaan enpathum engalukkuth theriyaathu, ivan vayathullavanaayirukkiraan, ivanaik kaelungal, ivanae solluvaan entarkal. But by what means he now seeth, we know not; or who hath opened his eyes, we know not: he is of age; ask him: he shall speak for himself.

22 Avanutaiya thaaythakappanmaar yootharkalukkup payanthathinaal ippatichchaொnnaarkal. Aenenil Yesuvaik Kristhu entu evanaavathu arikkaippannnninaal avanai jepaaalayaththukkup purampaakkavaenndumentu yootharkal atharkumunnamae kattuppaadu seythirunthaarkal. These words spake his parents, because they feared the Jews: for the Jews had agreed already, that if any man did confess that he was Christ, he should be put out of the synagogue.

23 Athinimiththam: ivan vayathullavanaayirukkiraan, ivanaiyae kaelungal entu avan thaaythakappanmaar sonnaarkal. Therefore said his parents, He is of age; ask him.

24 Aathalaal avarkal kurudanaayiruntha manushanai iranndaantharam alaiththu: nee thaevanai makimaippaduththu; intha manushan paaviyentu naangal arinthirukkirom entarkal. Then again called they the man that was blind, and said unto him, Give God the praise: we know that this man is a sinner.

25 Avan pirathiyuththaramaaka: avar paaviyentu enakkuth theriyaathu; naan kurudanaayirunthaen, ippoluthu kaannkiraேn; ithu ontuthaan enakkuththeriyum entan. He answered and said, Whether he be a sinner or no, I know not: one thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I see.

26 Avarkal maraுpatiyum avanai Nnokki: unakku ennaseythaan, un kannkalai eppatith thiranthaan entarkal. Then said they to him again, What did he to thee? how opened he thine eyes?

27 Avan pirathiyuththaramaaka: munnamae ungalukkuch sonnaen, neengal kaelaamar poneerkal; maraுpatiyum kaetka vaenntiyathenna avarukkuch seesharaaka ungalukkum manathunntoo entan. He answered them, I have told you already, and ye did not hear: wherefore would ye hear it again? will ye also be his disciples?

28 Appoluthu avarkal avanai vaithu: nee avanutaiya seeshan, naangal Mosesyinutaiya seeshar. Then they reviled him, and said, Thou art his disciple; but we are Moses' disciples.

29 Mosesyudanae Dhevan paesinaarentu arivom, ivan engaeyirunthu vanthavanentu ariyom entarkal. We know that God spake unto Moses: as for this fellow, we know not from whence he is.

30 Atharku antha manushan: avar en kannkalaith thiranthirunthum, avar engaeyirunthu vanthavarentu neengal ariyaathirukkirathu aachchariyamaana kaariyam. The man answered and said unto them, Why herein is a marvellous thing, that ye know not from whence he is, and yet he hath opened mine eyes.

31 Paavikalukku Dhevan sevikodukkirathillaiyentu arinthirukkirom; oruvan thaevapakthiyullavanaayirunthu avarukkuch siththamaanathaich seythaal avanukkuch sevikoduppaar. Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.

32 Piravikkurudanutaiya kannkalai oruvan thiranthaanentu ulakamunndaanathumuthal kaelvippattathillaiyae. Since the world began was it not heard that any man opened the eyes of one that was born blind.

33 Avar thaevanidaththilirunthu varaathirunthaal ontum seyyamaattarae entan. If this man were not of God, he could do nothing.

34 Avarkal avanukkup pirathiyuththaramaaka: muluvathum paavaththil pirantha nee engalukkup pothikkiraayo entu solli, avanaip purampae thallivittarkal They answered and said unto him, Thou wast altogether born in sins, and dost thou teach us? And they cast him out.

35 Avanai avarkal purampae thallivittathai Yesu kaelvippattu, avanaik kanndapothu nee thaevanutaiya kumaaranidaththil visuvaasamaayirukkiraayaa entar. Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God?

36 Atharku avan: aanndavarae, avaridaththil naan visuvaasamaayirukkumpatikku avar yaar entan He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him?

37 Yesu avanai Nnokki. Nee avaraik kanntirukkiraay, unnudanae paesukiravar avarthaan entar. And Jesus said unto him, Thou hast both seen him, and it is he that talketh with thee.

38 Udanae avan: aanndavarae visuvaasikkiraேn entu solli, avaraip panninthukonndaan. And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him.

39 Appoluthu Yesu: kaannaathavarkal kaanumpatiyaakavum, kaannkiravarkal kurudaraakumpatiyaakavum niyaayaththeerppukku naan intha ulakaththil vanthaen entar. And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind.

40 Avarudanaekooda iruntha pariseyaril silar ivaikalaik kaettapoluthu: naangalum kurudaro entarkal. And some of the Pharisees which were with him heard these words, and said unto him, Are we blind also?

41 Yesu avarkalai Nnokki: neengal kurudaraayirunthaal ungalukkup paavamiraathu; neengal kaannkirom entu sollukirapatiyinaal ungal paavam nilainirkirathu entar. Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth.
