அப்பொழுது எரேமியாவைக் காவற்சாலையின் முற்றத்திலே காக்கவும், நகரத்திலே அப்பமிருக்குமட்டும் அப்பஞ்சுடுகிறவர்களின் வீதியிலே தினம் ஒரு அப்பத்தை அவனுக்கு வாங்கிக் கொடுக்கவும் கட்டளையிட்டான்; அப்படியே எரேமியா காவற்சாலையின் முற்றத்திலே இருந்தான்.

அப்பொழுது எரேமியாவைக் காவல்நிலையத்தின் முற்றத்தில் காக்கவும், நகரத்தில் அப்பம் இருக்குவரை அப்பம் சுடுகிறவர்களின் வீதியில் தினம் ஒரு அப்பத்தை அவனுக்கு வாங்கிக்கொடுக்கவும் கட்டளையிட்டான்; அப்படியே எரேமியா காவல்நிலையத்தின் முற்றத்தில் இருந்தான்.

பின்னர் அரசன் செதேக்கியா கட்டளையிடவே, எரேமியா காவல் கூடத்திற்கு மாற்றப்பட்டார். நகரின் அப்பம் அனைத்தும் தீரும்வரை அப்பக்காரர் தெருவினின்று ஓர் அப்பம் அவருக்கு நாள்தோறும் கொடுக்கப்பட்டுவந்தது. இவ்வாறு எரேமியா காவல்கூடத்தில் தங்கியிருந்தார்.

Appoluthu eraemiyaavaik kaavarsaalaiyin muttaththilae kaakkavum, nakaraththilae appamirukkumattum appanjudukiravarkalin veethiyilae thinam oru appaththai avanukku vaangik kodukkavum kattalaiyittan; appatiyae eraemiyaa kaavarsaalaiyin muttaththilae irunthaan.
