எரேமியா 11:12
அப்பொழுது யூதா பட்டணங்களின் மனுஷரும், எருசலேமின் குடிகளும் போய்த் தாங்கள் தூபங்காட்டியிருந்த தேவர்களை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிட்டும், அவைகள் அவர்களுடைய ஆபத்துக்காலத்தில் அவர்களை இரட்சிப்பதில்லை.

அப்பொழுது யூதா பட்டணங்களின் மனிதரும், எருசலேமின் குடிகளும் போய் தாங்கள் தூபங்காட்டியிருந்த தெய்வங்களை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிட்டும், அவைகள் அவர்களுடைய ஆபத்துக்காலத்தில் அவர்களை காப்பாற்றுவதில்லை.

யூதாவில் உள்ள ஜனங்களும், எருசலேமில் உள்ள ஜனங்களும், தங்கள் விக்கிரகங்களிடம் போய் உதவிக்காக ஜெபிப்பார்கள். அந்த விக்கிரகங்களுக்கு முன் நறுமணப் பொருட்களை எரிக்கின்றனர். அந்தப் பயங்கரமான காலம் வரும்போது அந்த விக்கிரகங்களால் யூதாவின் ஜனங்களுக்கு உதவி செய்யமுடியாது.

அப்போது யூதா நகர்களில் குடியிருப்போரும் எருசலேம் வாழ் மக்களும் தாங்கள் தூபம் காட்டி வணங்கும் தெய்வங்களிடம் ஓடிச்சென்று அழுகுரல் எழுப்புவார்கள். ஆனால் அவர்களுக்குத் தீமை நேர்ந்த காலத்தில் அவற்றால் அவர்களை விடுவிக்கவே முடியாது.
