என்றென்றைக்கும் நாயகியாயிருப்பேனென்று சொல்லி, இந்தக்காரியங்களை இதுவரைக்கும் உன் மனதிலே வையாமலும், அதின் முடிவை நினையாமலும் போனாய்.

And thou saidst, I shall be a lady for ever: so that thou didst not lay these things to thy heart, neither didst remember the latter end of it.

And thou saidst, וַתֹּ֣אמְרִ֔י ʾāmar ah-MAHR
for ever: לְעוֹלָ֖ם ʿôlām oh-LAHM
I shall be אֶהְיֶ֣ה hāyâ ha-YA
a lady גְבָ֑רֶת gĕberet ɡeh-veh-RET
that עַ֣ד ʿad ad
thou didst not לֹא lōʾ loh
lay שַׂ֥מְתְּ śûm soom
these אֵ֙לֶּה֙ ʾēlle ay-LEH
to עַל ʿal al
thy heart, לִבֵּ֔ךְ lēb lave
neither לֹ֥א lōʾ loh
didst remember זָכַ֖רְתְּ zākar za-HAHR
the latter end of it. אַחֲרִיתָֽהּ׃ ʾaḥărît ah-huh-REET
