Amos 9
1 मैं ने प्रभु को वेदी के ऊपर खड़ा देखा, और उसने कहा, खम्भे की कंगनियों पर मार जिस से डेवढिय़ां हिलें, और उन को सब लोगों के सिर पर गिरा कर टुकड़े टुकड़े कर; और जो नाश होने से बचें, उन्हें मैं तलवार से घात करूंगा; उन में से एक भी न भाग निकलेगा, और जो अपने को बचाए, वह बचने न पाएगा॥
2 क्योंकि चाहे वे खोद कर अधोलोक में उतर जाएं, तो वहां से मैं हाथ बढ़ा कर उन्हें लाऊंगा; चाहे वे आकाश पर चढ़ जाएं, तो वहां से मैं उन्हें उतार लाऊंगा।
3 चाहे वे कर्म्मेल में छिप जाएं, परन्तु वहां भी मैं उन्हें ढूंढ़-ढूंढकर पकड़ लूंगा, और चाहे वे समुद्र की थाह में मेरी दृष्टि से ओट हों, वहां भी मैं सर्प को उन्हें डसने की आज्ञा दूंगा।
4 और चाहे शत्रु उन्हें हांक कर बंधुआई में ले जाएं, वहां भी मैं आज्ञा देकर तलवार से उन्हें घात कराऊंगा; और मैं उन पर भलाई करने के लिये नहीं, बुराई की करने के लिये दृष्टि करूंगा॥
1 I saw the Lord standing upon the altar: and he said, Smite the lintel of the door, that the posts may shake: and cut them in the head, all of them; and I will slay the last of them with the sword: he that fleeth of them shall not flee away, and he that escapeth of them shall not be delivered.
2 Though they dig into hell, thence shall mine hand take them; though they climb up to heaven, thence will I bring them down:
3 And though they hide themselves in the top of Carmel, I will search and take them out thence; and though they be hid from my sight in the bottom of the sea, thence will I command the serpent, and he shall bite them:
4 And though they go into captivity before their enemies, thence will I command the sword, and it shall slay them: and I will set mine eyes upon them for evil, and not for good.
