Acts 12:1-5 in Hindi

1 Now about that time Herod the king stretched forth his hands to vex certain of the church.

2 And he killed James the brother of John with the sword.

3 And because he saw it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to take Peter also. (Then were the days of unleavened bread.)

4 And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people.

5 Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.

1 उस समय हेरोदेस राजा ने कलीसिया के कई एक व्यक्तियों को दुख देने के लिये उन पर हाथ डाले।

2 उस ने यूहन्ना के भाई याकूब को तलवार से मरवा डाला।
And he killed James the brother of John with the sword.

3 और जब उस ने देखा, कि यहूदी लोग इस से आनन्दित होते हैं, तो उस ने पतरस को भी पकड़ लिया: वे दिन अखमीरी रोटी के दिन थे।

4 और उस ने उसे पकड़ के बन्दीगृह में डाला, और रखवाली के लिये, चार चार सिपाहियों के चार पहरों में रखा: इस मनसा से कि फसह के बाद उसे लोगों के साम्हने लाए।

5 सो बन्दीगृह में पतरस की रखवाली हो रही थी; परन्तु कलीसिया उसके लिये लौ लगाकर परमेश्वर से प्रार्थना कर रही थी।
